Laurens entered the room to see Mulligan and Lafayette on their couch.

"This is not a dorm room; this is huge!" He said in shock, causing the other two to notice him.

"Oui, mon ami," Laf said.

John closed the door and went to sit down on the armchair next to Lafayette.

"Guess who my roommate is?" He sighed.

"Not again," Herc mumbled under his breath.

"What?

"Nothing, carry on," he replied, making the man next to him giggle.

"It's Madison."

"Madison? But he's a sophomore."

"Yeah, they don't have any rules about what year you have to be in."

Hercules laughed.

"What's so funny?" Laurens asked confused.

"No, it's just that you got Madison and Alex got Jefferson.

"Wait really?"

"Oui, they were very dramatic about it." Laf simply stated.

"Do you think they'll let us switch roommates?" Laurens said hopefully.

"Non, they went to ask and got told it was not possible."

"But if we switch, so Jefferson and Madison get to be roommates

and Alex and I..."

"That would be a fair trade," Mulligan added

"Umm, I don't know if that would be a good idea."

Lafayette said, he was not a good liar, and his friends knew that.

"What do you know that we don't?" Laurens asked, now curious.

"Nothing," he paused

"Just that Thomas and James aren't exactly getting along right now." He said so fast that it took the other two a minute to figure out if he was speaking French or not.

"Wait, Madison and Jefferson? Haven't they been friends in like forever?" Mulligan asked, getting more curious.

"Mon amis, this is none of our business, and I don't want to talk about this."

They knew a way or two to get it out of him, but they decided to let him keep it to himself.

"Despite, Thomas never told me exactly what happened, just that they weren't talking." Laf paused "And I'm not telling you." He added, seeing his friend's faces lined with curiosity.

"Okay, I'll just ask my roommate then," Laurens said, getting ready to stand up.

"Non, John s'il vous plaît, Thomas will hate me if he knows I told you." Lafayette practically begged.

"Fine." he sighed.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

Laurens stood up

"I have to get going though; I haven't even been to my dorm yet."

And with that, he left.
