Classes were over for the day, Jefferson and Lafayette sat outside under a tree on campus eating a pizza. They split it in half, seeing that Lafayette didn't like pineapples on it which were Jefferson's favorite.

"So, how are things with, you know?" Jefferson smirked, grabbing a slice of pizza.

"It's a dream. I mean, we kissed a lot yesterday."

Thomas couldn't help but smile.

"What are you laughing at?" He asked.

"I'm not!" Thomas said, hiding a chuckle.

Lafayette shoved him before starting to pick off pineapple that had been put on his side of the pizza by mistake.

"Have you even tried it more than once."

"What?"

"Pineapple on pizza."

"Mon Dieu no, it is awful, and the taste still lingers even when I take it off, and that's more than enough."

Lafayette made a disgusted face.

"Why are you such a picky eater, it's pineapple, you like pineapple." Thomas laughed.

"Not on pizza, end of conversation."

Putting his hands up in surrender, Thomas leaned back on the tree.

"So how are you and Hamilton getting along as roommates, I noticed you hadn't killed each other yet."

"Well, don't tell him I said this but really well, you know last night we talked until like 3 am."

"About what?" Lafayette was surprised.

"Astrology."

The younger brother raised his eyebrows.

"No way he's into that stuff too."

"I didn't think so, but then he was genuinely asking all these questions, and I don't know, I completely lost track of time.

He went to get another slice.

Lafayette studied his brothers face; he knew that look, he'd seen that look.

"Frére," he paused.

"Do you like him?"

Thomas took a bite of his pizza.

"No, it's Hamilton, there's no way I...I don't like...Hamilton is not..."

Lafayette smiled, Thomas put his head on his brother's  shoulder and sighed.

"Not again."

Lafayette took the last bite of his pizza, Thomas closed his eyes.

"Is that what happened with you and James?"

Thomas didn't say anything.

"You are aware you can talk about it right?"

He still didn't speak.

"I don't want to talk about it in case someone hears us; I won't do that to him," Jefferson mumbled.

"Combien de personnes connaissent le français?"

He looked up at his brother.

"Je ne sais pas, pas beaucoup."

"Alors, dites-moi."

"Je ne peux pas l'expliquer."

"Essayer."

Thomas sighed.

"Je n'étais pas toujours comme ça, mais quelque chose est arrivé et un jour, je ne pouvais pas arrêter de penser à lui."

"Et maintenant?"

"La nuit dernière, quand je parlais à Alex, la première fois en semaines que je ne l'ai pas pensé à James."

Lafayette smiled and rested his head on his brothers

"I think you really like him."
