last night
This is my last night with my family before surgery. I called Lucas once I had awoken up the next day. My parents had gone to the appointment they had for today.
'Hello?' He spoke into the phone with a small pant
'Hey, Lucas' I answered 'What's wrong?' I asked because of his pant earlier
'Morning jog.' He answered and I hear his panting slow down 'What's going on princess?' He asked
'Someone donated all the money to us. I'm getting the surgery tomorrow.' I tell him and I hear the phone drop 'Are you okay?'
'Yeah. I'm good. I'm so happy for you. I'm coming over right now.. you want anything?' He asked me
'I want some breakfast and maybe some ice pops?' I say and he chuckled
'I'll get those and be over. I love you' He says
'I love you too' I answered as we said our goodbyes and hung up. I made my way to the bathroom across the room. I showered and brushed my teeth. I'd kill to go back home. My parents walk in and my dad hands me the ultrasound picture.
"One month and four days. The baby is healthy and already has a heartbeat" My mother says plopping down in a chair
"Awe. I can't wait to see what you are" I said touching the photo admiring the baby
"You want breakfast?" My dad asks picking up the car keys
"Lucas is gonna bring me some. You guys should go. Get a break from this hospital" I said "Some fresh air for you guys should be good. Especially you mom" I added
They nodded and head out of the room. Lucas walked in a few moments after they left.
"Hey. How are you feeling?" He asked sitting down on my bed
"I'm okay." I said as he handed me a bag and placed the ice pops into a mini fridge in my room.
He came over and placed a firm kiss on my lips.
"I go in for surgery tomorrow." I say
"Are you nervous?" He asked
"Yeah. I mean you don't know what can happen." I let out a low sigh
"You're gonna be fine. We made some wristbands for you. Gave it to my family and yours." He say showing me the beautiful wristband that had my name on it
"Awe. That's so sweet" Eventually Lucas had to leave about and around 1 pm, I fell asleep.

Maya got up coughing. It was a dry cough and it worried me.
"Maya? Are you okay?" Shawn asked rushing over to her side followed by me.
She shook her head no and continued coughing, "My chest hurts" She wheezed and I shout for a nurse to come. Doctors rush in and pushed ys out. I was so afraid. Shawn could see it he hugged me.
