UPDATE: apparently, 24 hours after a solar eclipse, the gravitational pull makes it possible for a broom to stand up on its own. i thought it was fake when i tried it bc my one broom is kind of flat, but then this happened:

THIS FUCKING BRISTLE BROOM IS STANDING UP ON ITS OWN!!!!

who got to see the eclipse today??? unfortunately, i didn't see it in totality (my school was in like the 97/99%) but seeing it get dark and hearing all the cicadas come out was pretty cool. i was also freaking tf out bc when my school walked outside, i went to look up to it and my glasses accidentally slipped a little and i caught a small glimpse of it. i did the same when it was almost totality. i was shaking so bad bc it's made clear you can't look at it, i was legit making myself paranoid.

but it was way too hot out when we got out there so i wasn't happy about that either. other than that it was pretty cool to see the sun almost completely blocked. both my parents saw it in totality, and i'm kinda sad i didn't, but then again, at least i saw it. i'm not a big fan of space and stuff so it's not like i'm extremely upset and crying over it 😂😂
