Jess took a deep breath as Dean's tahoe pulled into the driveway, she didn't want to do this to him, she knew of the feelings they both had developed for each other during her brief stay here with him

She closed her eyes when she saw him get out with a bright smile, holding a bundle of roses, he rested them on the hood of the SUV and took out his suitcase and the flowers and walked up the steps, opening the door, his smile faded when he saw Jess, she was in black ripped skinny jeans, a navy blue v-neck and her louboutins, but her style wasn't what saddened him, it was the suitcase that stood near her

"Jess?" he whispered confused

"Jon, Colby's hurt," she said, Jon took a sharp intake of breath

"I know." he replied, because he did know, just he wanted to be selfish for once

"He needs me." Jess admitted

"I know." Jon said again, looking down at his shoes and sighing deeply

"Jon," Jess said sadly, walking up to him, he flinched slightly when her hand touched his cheek and her heart broke

"I'm so sorry," she said, tears filling her blue eyes

He chuckled, bitterly

"It's fine, really it is, it's my fault for thinking you'd love me half as much as you loved Colby, it's my own fault," Jon said

"Jon, I-"

"Jess, go, he needs you right now, I'll be okay, I promise." Jon said, smiling sadly and nodding

She listened to him and took up the suitcase and rolled it to the door

"I wish I'd fallen in love with you." she told him, honestly meaning it, Jon wiped under his eyes and sighed

"Me too," Jon replied

Deep down, both of them knew, they were just fools, playing a game no one would win and it was just wishful thinking, Jess watched as Jon walked over to the counter, back faced to her, he put the roses down and tightly gripped the edge, taking deep breaths

She got into her car and sighed as she took a look at the house

"I'm sorry Jon," she whispered to herself as she pulled out of the driveway and into the road, driving to the airport

She sat on the plane and took a deep breath looking as itwent airborne, on its way to Iowa. She didn't know what she'd witness when she arrived, she honestly hoped she wouldn't have to deal with the slut, cuz honestly Jess may not have been a wrestler, but she had practiced MMA and if Zahra even tried some shit, Jess promised herself she'd rip the bitch's tattoos off of her

But even if Zahra was there, she knew she needed to be there, she needed to put her mind at rest, she couldn't help herself, she needed to know Colby was okay. She sighed and let her head fall hard against the window, the ache in her head was welcomed since it distracted her
