Got A Surprise For You

Jess and Colby were at home on the couch, just chilling. It was a quiet night. Jess was sitting down, her legs on the coffee table, Colby's feet was on the arm rest and his head on Jess' lap

The TV was on, making quiet background noise but neither of them were paying attention

Jess' blue eyes were staring deep into Colby's brown ones and just they felt more in love like this

Jess smiled as Colby slowly blinked and his eyelashes touched his soft cheeks and she rubbed her thumb over his lip

"Can't count the years on one hand that we've been together
I need the other one to hold you
Make you feel, make you feel better
It's not a walk in the park to love each other," she sang

"But when our fingers interlock, can't deny, can't deny, you're the worth it," she smiled, interlocking their fingers, feeling the spark as their skin touched

"After all this time, I'm still into you," she sang going into falsetto

Then her smile faded and she got real serious as she pushed their fingertips together and looked deep into Colby's brown, chocolatey eyes with her own electric blues and saw trust and hope, but most importantly she saw love

"I love you." She said to him and his expression turned into a cheshire cat grin, big and bright.

"I love you to," he whispered as he strained his neck to lean up but she leant down and met him halfway as their lips touched and their eyes closed

"I love you," she whispered, against his lips for the second time

"I love you to," he replied before they kissed again

When they had parted, Colby resumed his position on her lap and playing with her fingers

"So our anniversary is next week," he brought up and she smiled

Whoa, they had reached to the point where they stopped counting but when he brought it up and Jess combed through her memory, next week would mark their 7th year of being together. That's alot. They hadn't even talked bout forever yet, they always took things in stride. Slowly. But maybe it was time to start talking about the future. 

"Wow, 7 years," she commented

"Hasn't been easy, but here we are." He replied with a smile

"I have a surprise for you," he said and Jess looked at him with a confused expression

"For our anniversary, I have a surprise for you," he elaborated and she looked at him

"Surprise takes place in Paris." He said smirking as her eyes widened

"Paris?" She asked with a smile

"City of love baby," he said with a broad smile of his own

Jess couldn't wait to see what Colby had planned for them for next week. Damn, 7 years. That's a sure off alot. She was sure he was gonna take her for a nice dinner and then they'd watch the city lights. That's how they'd spend all their anniversaries. She felt bad that she already knew the surprise but she'd fake surprise for him next week to.
