Jess and Colby were in Paris for the weekend and right now was the night of their anniversary and Colby had her blindfolded taking her to her surprise
"Are we nearly there babe?" She asked, feeling like she's been climbing steps forever
"Almost sweetheart, almost," he replied as he carefully led her up the final set of stairs and carried her to the edge of the railing and carefully untied her blindfold
"Surprise!" He called as he pulled it off and listened to her gasp as she took in the sight

"Happy Anniversary babygirl," he said, smiling while wrapping his arms around her waist
"This is beautiful." She gaped, looking at the view
"But, where are we?" She asked looking around and Colby smiled
"We're on top of the eiffel tower." He replied and then did she gasp
"You're amazing," she said, hugging him making him chuckle
"You know Jess," he began holding her two hands in his bigger ones
"We've been through a hell of alot to be together and you've always been by my side even when I thought I needed someone else. You've never ceased to amaze me at how beautiful a woman you are. I can't get over you no matter how hard I try. We've known each other for 31 years. How insane is that? We've known each other since birth. That always seems so crazy to me. How in 31 years, you've never left my side. I can't tell you how much I love you else we'd be on our death bed with me still reciting the reasons. I'm so glad we didn't listen when people said we'd never last. Else I wouldn't be here holding the woman I love and looking into those beautiful eyes. I know I've hurt you alot in the past few years. I know I can do nothing to make it up to you but I'll have you know, I live with that everyday and I'll die trying. I can't promise never to hurt you again but I can promise to always love you and cherish you because you're the only constant in my life Jess, and I love you so much," Colby said and Jess' eyes were full of tears by the time he finished and she smiled at him
"I love you to," she replied and he grinned
"I brought you up here because people say they've never seen anything as beautiful as a Paris night," Colby said looking at the view making Jess look to
"But clearly they've never seen you." Colby said, proceeding to go onto one knee
Jess looked at him and her jaw dropped
"Oh my god." She whispered as a hand clasped her mouth
"I think you're the smartest, most amazing, most beautiful woman in the world and I was an idiot to ever doubt that. I love you and even though we've never spoken about the future. I can't see a future without you, you make me the happiest man in the world every day. I don't know much but I know I love you," he said and then took out a box and opened it, taking her hand
"We've had seven beautiful years together, never mind the ups and downs but I was kinda hoping on forever so , Jessica Noelle Evans, love of my life, will you marry me?" He asked with the most hopeful smile in the world
"Oh my god, no." She said and Colby's face dropped as tears started dripping down her cheeks
"No?" He whispered
"NO...FREAKING...WAY!" she yelled and jumped on him, scrambling to catch her and the ring
"Of course I'll marry you." She said and Colby sighed in relief then the most beautiful gap-toothed grin spread on his face as he slowly slid the ring on her finger and they met in a kiss
Then he led her to the table he had set up with wine, candle-light, food and flowers and they sat down with love in the air
Then Colby dialled a number and fireworks shot up, Jess gasping as it did

"You're so amazing," she said looking at the ring on her finger with a wide smile
"You like it?" He asked, looking down at the ring

"You really went all out to make this special," she said smiling as he handed her a glass
"Only the best for my girl." He replied and Jess grinned at him
"I love you," she said and took his hand across the table
"I love you to," she replied as they met in another kiss
