You're Mine

Saturday.

Normally it's just a day where one stays at home and sleeps in, and stays up to al hours of the night having fun with friends.

But this Saturday was different.

This Saturday was a day of all days where one dresses up in their most beautifully elegant attire and goes to the school dance.

The night of all nights where people dance to they drop, or talk until they can't talk no more.

Where one individual spikes the drink and tries to make the teachers and students get tipsy to have more fun than they would being sober.

Where people make up or break up, but still have the time of their life because nothing would stand in their way.

And for me, it was the night where I knew something was going to happen, whether it was going to be a good thing, or a bad thing.

All I knew was, something was going on, and Ace had to be apart of it somehow.

I mean why else would a - now - gang/drug leader go to their school for a dance when they could be doing anything but that.

Was I just as stupid for saying yes to his offer? To be his partner to the dance, and his partner of crime?

"Chantelle are you up yet?" A familiar voice says on the other side of my bedroom door.

"Go away Rose, I don't want to talk." I state, but she doesn't give up and continues to knock.

"Ellie we need to talk, Abbie and I have been talking, I'm sorry that this all had to happen."

I don't answer her comment, I just stay in silence because I didn't want to give in. I wasn't the same girl as they once knew.

"Elle the other day when I said I'm sorry, I meant it, okay? We miss you Elle, we shouldn't of had a fallout like we did." Abbie pipes up.

"No we shouldn't of, but we did." I say softly.

"Can you please open the door Ellie? I promise we won't be a trouble, we just want to explain and apologise." Rose politely asks.

My mind switches from being mean and not letting them come in, to being nice and letting them, but then switches again to being mean.

My mind in the end told me to hear them out, even when Rose was being a sore loser, and even when Abbie took her side in all of this. I let them come into my room and allowed them to explain themselves.

They both sat on the end of my bed, looking at me in deep thought, they had changed so much from the last time we properly spoke.

Apart of me missed having their opinions. Apart of me wished I could go back and accept their opinions and reasons. But I sadly didn't and that's one reason why we lost our close friendship.

Rose breathes in, "Ill go first, I need to get a shit load of stuff off my chest."

"Go on then." I motion her to start.
