Going to the zoo ✔️

A typical date idea but there is that essence that just makes this a must-do activity. It might be the fact that we get to enjoy a day looking at the cute actions of animals, not forgetting the absurdity of them just going off anywhere they want. Or the fact that it makes us realize how the world does not just reside humans, but other forms life as well.

You were so jumpy the day I told you that we were finally going to head to the zoo. The exclamations you gave out, the need for assurance, I didn't know what made you suspicious, having thought of it being a prank or something, but well, you might have your reasons.

The moment you had worn your bracelet and seeing the parrot welcoming at the entrance, I swore I would lose you in mere seconds. Filling up your camera storage, I could only stand still and smile like a grandfather smiling at how enthusiastic this grandchild would be. And to think there was an actual grandfather standing right next to me, getting a good laugh at his grandchildren's antics.

"Baekhyun, you have to see this!"

"Oh god, you need to take a picture posing the same way as it is!"

"Come on slow poke, we would be late for the show!"

Oh, all the excitement you had shown. I never knew that you had such a love for animals. And I didn't have to wait to ask you on why when you gave me the answer as we were slowing taking our time at the bird sanctuary.

"It's sad to hear on how animals become so close to extinction and also when there is news on animals being the victims of harsh human behaviour. I know I'm not the biggest animal lover, but it would be nice to give these creatures the love they deserve. They live on earth like us, despite us being the highest on the food chain, it wouldn't be bad to enjoy the earth, that is theirs as well."

I might not have understood fully on your philosophy on your love of animals, but surely, I enjoyed the whole day seeing you smiling. Although, I did saw that forced smile when you looked up to the birds and whispered to yourself, which I heard,

"When will I be so carefree and not think too much of what the world expects me to be? It seems so easy to fly away to where freedom lies."
