Holding a giveaway event

This idea is probably a stretch because we both weren't really financially well-off. But the thought of doing something like this is somewhat heartwarming. I don't know if I might be able to explain it exactly the what I want to but I hope it makes sense.

Some say that happiness is contagious and I believe in it. It's an automated response, like a built-in override to where you would smile at the happy things you see. And it doesn't seem to have an exception. Despite being dead tired of all the burdensome work, you would force out a smile, no matter how timid and unsincere it might look.

Happiness is so infectious, as if your body has a mind of itself and wants to be in the better state regardless of how your mind just wants to black out and take a rest.

You had this ideology planted in your mind. You wanted to make others happy. You wanted to brighten up someone's day. You want to see people smile and let out a very hearty laugh. Have them enjoy the day and the memories of it. Just like how you had lived your life — full of radiating joyfulness and beaming content.

So I asked, "What would you be giving if you had the chance to do it?" and your answer was simple.

"Anything."

As usual, you laughed at my questioning face before elaborating, "Depends on the person or group of people. If they like music and have a specific group or artist they like, give away an album from the said artist. Or if they like pretty and nice things in general, maybe stationaries or a journal along with nice pens."

"If we aim for working parents, maybe give them a weekend ticket to a theme park for the whole family? That might be a good idea, we could make a lot more people happy that way!"

I listened to all the different possibilities you had to tell. But in all that, I can clearly notice the expression you had on your face. The expression of you imagining the sign of those people smiling with content and the slowly creeping smile that came on you.

We decided to have this on-hold until we had collected more money or get a high-paying job first.

Or we could have given this a tick because you did held some kind of giveaway when we went to the orphanage. But that wouldn't really count when you have given everyone gifts despite saying it was only for a few people.

What's important is that you managed to make a statement stuck in my mind.

Kindness is a virtue.
