Halos pumintig ng malakas ang puso ni Austin habang sinusuyod ang daan para hanapin ang nobya.

Hindi niya mapailiwanag ang kabang nadarama ng marinig ang sirena ng ambulansiya at makita  ang tumpok ng tao sa dulo ng kalsada.

Oh God please wag po sana siya iyon!

Something had told him na puntahan ito, his heart is pounding hard and his breath fall short as he went nearer the area.

"What happened?" he ask the man

"A girl was hit by a car" the man told him.

Nilukod ng kaba ang buong katawan ni Austin sa narinig, halos pagpawisan siya ng malamig

"A girl? Is she dress in violet?" he ask him.

"Yes" he told him at ipinakita ang picture na nasa phone niya.

Hindi pweding magkamali si Austin si Daphne nga ito

"Oh shit! Daphne!" he said in low voice at agad na sumugod sa nagkumpolang mga tao

"Let me pass!" he hissed at them and force himself through the crowd "let me pass please" he beg  in tremble voice "the girl who has been hit is my fiancee" he told them in tears, they look at him with pitty eyes and they let him pass through

Halos mabiyak ang puso ni Austin nang makita niya ang duguang nobya na nakahandusay sa kalsada habang inilalagay ito sa stretcher ng mga paramedic.

"Daphne! Oh God" napaluhod siya sa tabi nga mga paramedic "is she going to be alright?'"  he ask them pero busy ang mga ito sa pagbigay  kay Daphne ng paunang lunas.

"Please tell mé" pakiusap niya sa kanila "she's my fiancee" he added when their crease their forehead

"Oh I'm sorry Sir but we can't tell, except that she has broken bones and head collision,  she need to be brought in the nearest hospital" the girl told him in sad voice.

"Oh God!" he uttered in hopeless voice "oh my poor princess"

Agad na isinakay si Daphne sa ambulance at dahil sinabi ni Austin na fiancee niya ito ay pinayagan siyang sumakay sa likod ng ambulance.

Lumuluha si Austin at halos madurog ang kanyang puso ng makita ang mukha ni Daphne.

May mga galos ang mukha nito, may gasgas ang mga braso at may sugat sa.kilay at sa ulo.

Dugoan ito at nakapikit ang mata.

Hinawakan niya ang kamay nito, at napahagolgol.

"I'm sorry....I'm sorry.." ang tanging niyang naiusal habang sinisisi ang sarili sa sinapit ng nobya.

How could he be stupid and a jerk.

Napasabunot siya sa sariling buhok, and let out a low desperate cry,  he can't forgive himself kung may mangyari kay Daphne.

No, hindi niya kakayanin na mawala ng tanging babaing mahal niya

Agad na ipinasok si Daphne sa emergency room at sinubukan na i-revive ng mga doctor.

Hindi pinayagan si Austin na pumasok sa loob ng emergency room, bagsak ang balikat ay napausdos siyang napaubo sa pintoan ng emergency room.

He hugged his knees and started to break down and cry..

Stupid! Stupid! he uttered as tears roll down his face.

He felt so hopeless, powerless, weak and heartsick.

He blame himself totally, kung hindi naman siya gago eh hindi mangyayari ang lahat ng ito.

Now the only woman he truly love is battling with the death itself....nag-aagaw buhay and all because of him.
