Chapter 18 - Why are you here?

Katherina's POV.

"Shocked?" He asked me slightly smirking. Oh how I wish to whip that smirk of his face. I know he saw in my eyes how shocked I was but I won't let him play with my mind that easily. After all he is really good at manipulating people and I definitely won't be one of them.

"Honestly? Yes, I am. I was expecting someone else." I said looking straight in his eyes. He probably expected me to denied, but why denying when I can play with his head.

"You know I am not used to this."

"I guessed. That is why you're visiting me, isn't it?" I asked taking a few steps towards him.

"Can you blame me? I missed you. Those two months were killing me." He whispered in my ear witch sent goose bumps on my whole body. Damn it why is this happening around him.

"I don't think this is about you missing me. It's about something else. Maybe something that happened this morning." I said daring to look at his eyes that were now full of anger. He tried to hide it but what's the point when I already saw it affected him.

"You are right. I am here for something else." He whispered in my ear. I felt something but I don't know what exactly. Then he took something from his pocket and soon I saw it was the money I left at his nightstand. I burst out laughing.

"Wow Marco no need to give me back my money or to be angry." I finally said when I stopped laughing.

"I am not a whore Katherina." He said angrily slamming money on my coffee table.

"You? Well my mistake. You are not a whore, you are a manwhore. I don't see the problem here. You are only my one night stand and here you are acting like you are in love with me. Like I broke your heart." I pointed out the obvious while rolling my eyes at him. This guy is unbelievable.

"So you are stating that you don't have any feeling for me at all." He whispered closing the distance between us. Our lips were inches apart. I felt his hot minty breath. I couldn't move. I didn't want to move. But I was still able to whisper a shaky no, before his lips crushed on to mine. And I did the worst thing I could possibly do. I kissed him back.

This kiss was different from the ones we shared the previous night. It was simply amazing. His lips went perfectly with mine. It made me fuzzy on the inside and my knees went weak. I forgot about everything else.

The kiss turned into a make out session on my couch in the living room. I wanted him, I needed him. Shit, this was not supposed to happen. But luckily I am not the only one addicted. I can see that he is also addicted to me. The way he is kissing me shows everything. To bad for him, that I won't be the first admitting it. I pushed him with all my strength.

"That's enough lover boy." I said looking at his swollen lips. And he laughed. He fucking laughed.

"I don't get why people are calling you Rina when Kat suits you better. You should see the marks you left on my back." He said smirking.

"Oh honey, I didn't only left marks on your back. I also left them on your neck." I said smirking.

"I didn't know that cats like to mark their territory. But if it makes you happy then so be it." This made me laugh so hard that even tears stared falling from my eyes.

"Well if that is all you needed I would like to show you a way out." I said noticing that I have to get rid of him in the next fifteen minutes.

"Just so you know Kat it's not nice throwing your guests out. Especially guests like me." He said fake pouting which looked cute on him. Wait, what? I need to get rid of those thoughts.

"Yeah, yeah I know." I said leading him to the door.

"What? No goodbye kiss?" He asked chuckling.

"No, now get out." I said pushing him out and slamming the door right in front of his nose. Soon enough I heard him leaving my driveway with his car.

"The lover boy finally left." Sarah said coming from upstairs.

"Yeah" I answered her rolling my eyes.

"I honestly thought I would be the leaving tonight." After seeing my questioning gaze she said "I heard and saw you to on the couch. You two for sure can't be quiet." She said faking disgust.

"What can I say he is a good lover." I said smirking, trying to hide my feelings from Sarah.

"You are still in denial Rina. You have to admit that you have feelings for him. And before you denied everything just so you know you can't make a fool of me. I won't fall for it. I know you. You are still the same. Just older and you are not as innocent as you used to be and I get it. I would also be a different person if I went through everything you did." She told me with the sad look in her eyes. Great, jut great I feel like she is pitying me.

"You are right. At the same time I am the same and I am also different of what I used to be. I grew up. I realised that what you see is not what you get. People are evil. They are waiting for your weakest moments so they can break you. They will take the first chance and stab you in your back, then in your heart. I did a fair share of mistakes in my eighteen years of life. And the saddest part is that I don't regret any of these things."

"I know how you feel."

"No Sarah you don't. You weren't there. I grow up so fast. I miss my childhood which I didn't have obviously. I was kidnapped when I was seven. And from that point in my life everything went downhill. Every single thing. Sometimes I wished that I wasn't who I was. I wished to be poor. At least poor people have each other. Those who are rich are backstabbers. You can't rely on anybody. It was only me against the world." I said coldly looking at Sarah. Her face was wet from crying.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." She was sobbing now and I felt sorry for the things I told her. But it's better this way.

"Oh Sarah you make me laugh. We don't want our Rina becoming soft now, do we? It could get her killed.....again." And soon there was the person I was expecting the whole day. No scratch that I was expecting him since I came here yesterday.

"Took you long enough to come here." I said looking at him. And Sarah, yup she was scared when I looked at her. Seriously what's with her. He isn't that scary.

"I had to handle some business." He said looking at terrified Sarah.
