Narrator's POV

Camila practically ran all the way to Lauren's apartment. Although she was worried that whatever Lauren has to say will not be fun to hear, the many scenarios going through her head are scaring her even more. She would rather hear it straight from Lauren and not the one her mind is torturing her with. She knocks on the door, trying to appear nonchalant while freaking out on the inside. This could be a good talk. Maybe she was just bored and wanted to hang out. She tries to calm her thoughts as the other girl finally appears in the doorway.

All of Camila's worries leave her head when she is welcomed with a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek. She is invited in and takes a seat on the couch, as directed by the green-eyed girl that is now sitting next to her. She looks somewhat uncomfortable, like she is pondering over something in her head. This sets Camila's anxiety off again.

"This isn't about anything bad." Lauren blurts out when she notices the other girl's worried expression. The two watch each other for a moment in silence, trying to figure out what the other is thinking with little results. "So what is it then?

"Hopefully something good." Camila just waits for Lauren to continue and finally put her doomed thoughts to rest. "Look. I really like you Camila, that, I hope you already know. And I know I haven't made things too easy between us and whatever we have, but I was worried that I wasn't ready. I didn't want to screw up our chances of being together. You've been patient and amazing, I honestly don't know what I did to deserve you." She pauses, Lauren could talk about Camila and her feelings towards her for hours. "Camila," She grabs the younger girl's hands and locks eyes, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Camila starts frantically shaking her head, half of her not believing what she just heard, the other half is trying not to jump around the room. "Of course I'll be your girlfriend." They both show off a toothy grin. "I like the sound of that." Lauren husks out as she slowly leans in towards her.

Their faces now mere inches apart and steadily growing closer together. The two girls take one last glance into each other's eyes before they are hidden behind their eyelids as the gap between them is finally closed.

The two girls have shared a few kisses before, however, this moment was completely different from anything else. Their lips moving in perfect synchrony at a slow pace, this moment now forever etched in their minds as a memory, never to be forgotten. Although they never wanted it to end, they had to pull apart eventually. Camila pulled back from Lauren's embrace and they stayed there for a moment, letting everything play out in their minds. Lauren is brought back to the present with a little peck to the end of her nose and finally opens her eyes to meet the warm ones of her new girlfriend.

Before anything else could be said or done, Lauren notices movement coming from the kitchen and glances curiously at it, waiting for another sight of something. When she doesn't see anything, her heart begins to pick up in pace and when Camila notices her worry, she casts her look in the direction of the kitchen as well. Feeling brave, Lauren puts up her hand, silently telling her to stay there, and grabs the television remote before delicately tiptoeing towards the area.

Camila watches her in fear until Lauren passes the counter, which had obstructed their view of whatever was going on in there. When the older girl looks downwards, she lowers the arm with the remote in it and a frown forms on her face. She hears a light giggle and walks over to where her girlfriend is standing.

Before them are Dinah and Normani on their hands and knees, trying to hide and be quiet. Dinah's head rises to see the two girls standing over her. "Shit Mani." This prompts her to raise her head as well, only to see that they've been caught. At this point, there is no saving themselves, they had nowhere to run to and no alibi to back them up. "That was adorable." Dinah exclaims, only to be returned by two unamused faces.

"Care to explain why you were spying on us?" Lauren's arms are crossed over, showing that this is a serious matter. "Umm. Well Mani thought something was going on between you two and we may or may not have made a bet that you'd get together, so I had to bring her here for proof." Camila's face is red hot with embarrassment. "Let me guess, Dinah was the one who said it would happen?" Mani nodded her head and Lauren laughed, breaking her seriousness.

"You know that Dinah knew about our feelings before we actually told each other, right? She told us to talk to each other, that's all she said when we came to her about it." It's clear that she wasn't aware of this and the betrayal in her eyes mixed with the slap Dinah received furthered to prove it. "Fuck you, you're buying dinner because you cheated."

"You're buying our dinner too, you invaded our privacy." Dinah holds her head low, knowing that it'll all blow over if she accepts it. "I mean, I was going to get you two something in congratulations. We can all go out with Ally for a little celebration night some time, but I'm not paying for everything."
