Dakota Orton's POV

So here we are at Eldora. Yes the Eldora that Tony Stewart owns. Iv been racing on dirt now for about sixteen years. I'm a racing legend here at Eldora. I have twenty wins, fifteen top fives and 20 top tens. So everyone knows me.

As I walk down the small pit road I hear my name being called from behind. My hands are in my pockets of my shorts. I watch the ground as I head for my trailer where my super modified is.

" Dakota!" I hear from behind me.

I stop walking and spin around seeing a young Jamie McMurray. His hair still spiked up like he usually did it during the school week. He jogs towards me in his red McDonalds fire suit. His feet kicking up dust every time they hit the dirt. I watch him as he comes over. When he stops he leans over trying to catch his breath. I laugh Alittle when he lifts his head up. His blue eyes staring at me innocently.

" Nice job in practice!" Jamie says trying to give me a high five.

" Thanks. It was a well done run." I say giving him a light high five.

Jamie grins but still looks at me.

" Are you ok? You seem down."
Jamie asks still staring at me.
I grin slightly.

" Jamie I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I say but lie through my teeth.

As I head back to my trailer with Jamie beside me the wind moves my red hair only slightly. I seem like a rare girl. I'm only sixteen and I race on dirt. Then I work on cars during the week and I'm in automotive at my technical high school. All the guys at school say I'm perfect. Iv got a good body, beautiful red hair followed by hazel eyes. Freckles placed in the right place on my cheeks. They say I'm everything... But I'm not.
As Jamie and I head to my small middle class race trailer my mom's cooking food on my dad's portable grill. My dad has not been around for a long time. His work takes up most of his time. But that's what I get I suppose for being Randal Orton's daughter. Or maybe you will know him by his stage name,Randy Orton.

" Hot dogs or burgers Dakota?" My mother asks me.

I smile and answer back quickly.

" Burgers. God knows what is in those hot dogs." I say with a pity laugh after it.

I never really agreed with my mother. Her and I argu a lot. And with my father basically out of the picture, there's nothing I can do to get away. The only time my mother acts normal is when Jamie is around and when we are at my races. It seems odd though. She never really liked racing. Yah never "liked" racing. Yet I found a picture of her with a bunch of NASCAR drivers. They were sitting on the pit wall at Daytona. I could not believe it.

" I'll have a burger too Mrs. Orton." Jamie says as he sits next to me.

I put in my ear buds and turn up my music. The first song to come on, " Burn it to the ground." By nickle back. Monday night Raw's intro song.
I roll my eyes when the thought of my so called father comes into my mind. If he was such a father he would be around more. Not flying to every state, every country, and probably making out with every girl he sees.
I cross my arms as the thought continues to go through my head.

" Bullshit!" I yell out loud but don't mean it.

My mother looks up at me and gives me " the look." That look sends a shiver down my back.

" Foods done." My mom says.

Jamie gets up from beside me. He grabs the food and then puts the plate in front of me. He then hands me the ketchup and gives me a warm smile.
I ignore him and put ketchup on my burger. Then I eat it only in five bites.

" Your fathers coming home next weekend Dakota."My mother says.

As soon as I hear those words anger grows inside me. And apparently I crushed the rest of my burger. Cause Jamie had pulled it away from me and when I saw it, it was flat as a pancake.

" Why is he coming back." I say with an angry tone.
