Promise (Mike x eleven)

Chapter 8

Mike's POV
She was shaking. As I was wrapping my arms around her I could feel it. I looked at everyone in a concerning way. Then I looked at who was crying.
"What are we gonna do Mike?" Lucas asked with a bit of anger in his tone. I looked at him like he was the most stupid and selfish person in the world. How did he expect me to know how to fix this. I don't even know what do or how to react
"I don't know. I don't know what we can do." I yelled at him.
"Mike, Dustin could die. Do you even understand that?" He screamed at me. I could see the fury in his eyes. I stood up. I gave him a furious look.
"Of course I understand Lucas. You act like he's not my best friend either." I yell at him
"You sure don't act like it." He screams at me as he stepped closer.
"Oh yeah. In what way." I ask his angrily
"Your to busy protecting your girlfriend to even care about Dustin." He yelled at me
" sh..she's not my girlfriend." I said with hesitation and my voice slightly raising
"Oh yeah.i bet right after we left,you to we're locking lips." He have me a mockingly angry chuckle.
"That's... that...that's none of your business lucas." I stand him up hesitantly.
"Your not denying it mike." He points out
"Yeah well I bet right before you got to the party you were locking lips with Max." I scream at him mockingly. He looks back at max who was now red but was giving Lucas a face. A face that tells him to shut up. He looks back at me
"Don't bring max into this." He screams at me
"Don't bring eleven into this." I yell back at him.

"Yeah well it's different...."he begins to say
"Different how? Because Max doesn't have powers and el does? Because el is different and max is normal? I pause. He looks down "Wow..that's low even for you." I say with disappointment
"Mike that's not what I...." he tries to say
"Yeah well you said it. Cmon el let's go. We don't need Lucas. We can find Dustin on our own. I could feel didn't know how to respond and didn't argue.she stood up with a conflicted look. She then walked out with me
"Mike cmon don't leave." I could hear will's desperate voice. I looked back at Will's upset face. How could I say no to a guy that has been threw more s**t then the rest of us combined. I huffed slowly.
"I'll stay. Only for Dustin. " I say not looking lucas in the face. I knew he regret what he said. I didn't care though. He can say what he wants about me but he is NOT allowed to compare Max to el because she is different and Max is not.
"Thanks" Will says sincerely.

Dustin's POV
I don't know where I am. I'm starving and I'm really scared. It's so cold. It's just like Will said. I was basically in Will's house but it was cold and scary. Oh yeah and I saw Eleven. She told me to find reality and then.......she was gone. I mean, how does one fight the upside down? Speaking of the upside down. I saw it. I saw the shadow monster. It was so scary. It's been chasing me. I don't want to be like Will. I don't want what happened to him.........to happen to me. I began to look around Will's house. I was basically looking for an exit. I needed some way to communicate with Home. How is it even possible that I'm here? Eleven closed the gate. Then it hit me. El said I need to find reality. That must mean that this is my head. It has to be. I think about my home. I think about the  people I love. I think about all the things we have done together. I think about how all of this is an illusion. I think about....... a gate? Why am thing about a gate? I looked at the ground. I saw cracks m. That led up to a hole in the wall. The wall was all gooey and gross. I reached my hand threw it. I felt it go threw something. I took my hand back in and it slobbered.Maybe it was my way out.i looked back into the upside down. In the corner of my eye I swear I thought I saw a shadow go past me but when I turned around it was gone. The hole in the wall was bigger some how. I thought about and I swear I heard voices calling to me. There was no doubt. I was going to go through the hole.

Elevens POV
I watched as the boys, hopper, Joyce, Nancy, and Jonathan mad a comprising on how to get back Dustin. Max was the only person other than who wasn't helping. I don't know why though. Mike and Lucas are mad at each other. I feel like it is my fault. I look at Max who has her arms crossed. She has a worried expression on her face. I could see it even if she was mostly looking down. She was twisting and turning lightly. She moved but not much. She also looked like she was hopping yet her feet never left the ground. I went over to her since she was across the room.
"Are you ok." I asked her. She didn't respond for a second. She then looked up at me.m with her eyes wide open.
"Oh yeah I'm...I'm fine. I'm just..." she pauses for a moment. " surprised." She gulps.
"I'm sorry" I said to her
"For what?" She asked.
"Mike" I say with sadness
"I'm sorry what Lucas said. He shouldn't have even thought it, never mind saying it." She said with sadness as well. She also made it seem like she was angry and sad though.
"He did not lie. I am different. I am strange." I said to myself sadly.
"Are you kidding me?" She says a bit louder. I jump at her words.
"I don't understand." I say to her
"Well it's just that you different and you  are strange." She says to me
"Oh" I say sadly. I look down. I look up when she puts her hands on my shoulders.
"You shouldn't be sad about that though. You should be happy about it.I wish I had the powers that you have. Your awesome. Don't ever forget that el." She reassured me with a smile. I give her a small smile. I then hug her. I really did enjoy haver her around. She was surprised at first but then she also hugged. As we hugged I heard a noise. I opened my eye and saw a gate open. Then I saw a black thing run by it. Then the gate closed. I stopped  hugging max.  I gave her a worried expression
"Are you ok." She asked concerned
"I saw something." I gulped
"What" she asked with fear
"I don't know but I need to tell mike." I tell her
She nods at me and then I go to mike and tap on his back. He turned around. I was about to say what I needed to say but then we heard groaning. It was coming from Dustin.
"Dustin." Mike exclaimed
He, and everyone else rush over to him. Ge begins to say words
"Family. Memories. Fun. Gate." Dustin says slowly one after another.
"He's escaping." I exclaimed
Everyone began to call out his name. After a little while he opened his eyes.
Hey guys. I know that you guys have been giving me so much support so I made the chapter a little I get than usual. Not by much but it was like 200 words extra. Anyway I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and thank so much for 400 reads. It seems to go up by 100 every day and I am so GRATEFUL for that. (Get it because tomorrow is Thanksgiving) speaking of which I will probably write a thanksgiving special. The chapter will probably be 1500 to 2000 words. Anyway I hope you enjoyed BYEEEE
