when taehyung came back to their desk, he looked disappointed.

"strange, nobody matches her handwriting, what about you?"

saerin shook her head. he sighed, "and look, i only got a B for this essay. can i see yours?"

she furiously shook her head and stuffed it into her bag. "bad grade." she flimsily explained and taehyung just nodded.

saerin was torn. she hated lying, especially to tae, but she couldn't find it in her to tell the truth.

___

as they sat together during chemistry, taehyung began speaking about the note sender again.

"i wish we could find her sooner, but it's so strange that her handwriting doesn't match anyone in our literature class..."

"oppa! what are you talking about, who's she?" chae mi cut in.

saerin and taehyung were flustered as they weren't sure how to respond, they hadn't even told bts. still deciding it didn't really matter, taehyung just said "ah... i have a secret admirer, that's all."

"oh, i see." chae mi just said as she skipped back to her seat.

saerin didn't really know how to feel about what taehyung said.

firstly, she felt betrayed that he had told chae mi. he hadn't even told his best friends, but he would so openly tell another girl, like chae mi.

secondly, she felt like he just exposed their secret, or more so HER secret. the note sender's secret.

thirdly, the way he said "that's all." like the notes were no big deal, like her confessions we're nothing.

she couldn't help but feel hurt, and betrayed. i guess it's a good thing i didn't personally confess, if i did, he would probably have no problem telling chaemi that he rejected me.

___

after replying chaemi, taehyung was a little stunned by what he said. stunned that he would tell her, of all people.

deciding not to think to much, he just concentrated on chemistry and any plans of making conversation with saerin flew out the window.

after school, taehyung had asked saerin if she wanted to go out for some food but she had politely rejected him.

"gwenchana, i think i'll go home and study today." she said with a tight smile.

she seemed... cold, and indifferent.

"i'll walk you home, and maybe we can-"

"no thanks, it's fine! i can go by myself." she bristled, cutting him off.

"w-wae? why are you being like this saerinnie? is something wrong?"

"ani, just want some time alone. annyeong,"

taehyung started at her back as she walked off, and couldn't help but feel that he was being iced out. her of nickname was "ice princess" and he like she was currently locking him out of her ice castle.
