Sarthak....

You are an idiot, dude! It seems that your five years younger sister is wiser than you....Damn! What got into me when I gave Amara that awful advice...Give him some time to adjust to the outside world! Seriously! It's like presenting her hand to the other guy yourself..

I was hit by a wave of jealousy and insecurities making every inappropriate thought pass through my mind, as every member of my family including the girl I love appreciated the other guy. And the worst part of it all was that now, I had to sit through a whole session with the person whom I was hating the most as this moment.

I sighed and looked up while sitting on the couch at my office (my mom's previous office that I converted to mine last month) and found Vivaan sauntering around the room, observing each and every part carefully. He finally halted in front of the wall that was covered with a huge picture collage, similar to the one in my bedroom.

"So...Shall we start?" I cleared my throat and tried to bring authority in my voice. I am the shrink here after all....

He, however didn't reply and kept staring at the wall. I reluctantly got up and walked towards him until I was standing beside him. As soon as he sensed me beside him, the room echoed with his voice.

"For how long have you known Amara now?" he inquired without turning towards me and I raised an eyebrow at the unexpected question. As far as I knew my Firebolt, I am pretty sure she must have told him all about me!

"Seven years..." I replied curtly trying to give away the least from my voice.

"Hmm!" his lips lifted slightly and he turned and walked towards the couch until he was sitting. Weird! "You have awfully lot of pictures of her, considering the fact that she is your friend" he pressed the word friend as he spoke.

"Best friend" I replied yet again flatly and joined him on the parallel couch.

After waiting for his reply and not getting any, I finally decided to move forward with the matter in hand.

"So...lets not get diverted and talk about the matter for which we are here" I smiled politely, a smile I reserve for my formal patients.

"Really! And what is that? Frankly speaking, I don't even know what is there to talk between you and me!" he raised both his eyebrows with a challenging look on his face. I know what he is doing! Bring it on...

"Well...As you must know, Amara is doing sessions with me for the past couple of years to deal with her post traumatic symptoms after the accident of her father's death seven years ago" I noticed him flinch at the mention of the accident but he doesn't give away anything from his face. "And now she has asked me to do some sessions with you as well! According to her you are facing some issues in dealing with your post imprisonment lifestyle?" I directed this as a question towards him as the key to get a patient talking is to give them reason to talk.

However instead of answering, he chuckled at my words. "Post Imprisonment Lifestyle! From where do you get such fancy words!" he smirked and I had the sudden urge to punch the guy in the face. What's wrong with you, dude? You are a doctor, not a bloody street fighter! Focus...Sarthak!

"It's my job to know such fancy words" I answered politely, returning his smirk with a professional smile. "Now...getting back to the matter in hand, Vivaan! Can you tell me something about the time you were in prison?" I tried to bring the session back on track.

"Seriously! You still gonna ask this question after our first meeting!" he shook his head and I realized that this guy was seriously pissing me off now.
