I get up on Monday morning and groan. After debating whether or not I should be sick today, I decide not to so I get up and go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and shower before brushing my hair and going to my closet. I grab a black sweatshirt that says 'I'd rather be reading', black leggings, and black combat boots. I put them on and then throw my hair in a ponytail.

I grab my phone, earbuds, and backpack before going downstairs.
"Good morning, family." Ella skips down the stairs a few minutes after I sit down.
"Why are you so happy?" I ask.
"I'm meeting Daxton's family tonight." Ella says.
"Oh! Makes sense." I say.
"GOOD MORNING SUMMERS HOUSEHOLD!" Blake screams coming through the front door, Nathan and Adam following him.
"HI!" Bradley screams coming down the stairs and tackling Blake. For a seven year old, he's really strong.
"Hi." Blake replied getting up. They all walk into the kitchen.
"Hi, Kayla." Adam waves when he sees me.
"HI, KAYLA!" Nathan screams.
"Evening." I reply.
"Good morning, baby." Blake kisses me.
"Blake we've been over this. Don't kiss my sister in front of me." Kyle comes down the stairs.
"Sorry, dude." Blake shrugs.

After school I go home and mom calls me into the kitchen. Mom and Dad are both standing there.
"Yes, parents?"
"Kayla, a few of you father's friends have invited us out, which means, we need you to babysit. Blake can come over if you would like. Kyle is with Casey. Ella has invited Daxton over, so he'll be here soon-" Dad cuts mom off.
"Ella's bedroom door must be open at all times!"
Mom glares at Dad before proceeding. "Yes it does. You know bedtimes so, will you?"
"Yes." I say. "I'm going to go call Blake and ask him to come over."
I leave the kitchen and go to my room. I grab my phone from my bed, click Blake's name, and hold the phone up to my ear. It rings for a second and then he answers.
