•Eunjin's POV•
"Don't—touch—her." The voice echoed through the room.
Everyone, including me, turned towards the voice that came through the door.
The man standing in the doorway looked somewhat familiar to me but I couldn't get a grasp of why.
Suddenly, one of the men surrounding me straightened and turned towards to the man by the door.
"What the hell, Dongwoo," He uttered frustratedly, "The guys and I were just about to get to the good stuff!"
The man by the doorway, which I assumed was the man called Dongwoo, stepped into the room with a big sigh, "Didn't the boss say not to touch the hostages?"
As soon as he stepped inside, his appearance was revealed. His clothes were shabby like the other men in the room but he looked more poised than them and seemed to be in his 20s like me.
However, that was just my assumption. The only people I saw around my age were Jimin and Taehyung.
"Why not?! They're just hostages for the money anyway. It's not like we actually need use for them." The man beside my mother responded.
Dongwoo shrugged, "Boss' words—Oh, I also heard he was also calling for you guys." He gestured towards the men.
The men groaned almost at the same time and lazily walked out the door while muttering.
Dongwoo stepped aside to let them pass before turning towards me and my mother, walking towards us.
My spine shivered as he neared, I hastily backed up against the wall and looked up to him fearfully.
He glanced at me one last time before sighing and walking towards my mother.
I tried to yell at him to leave her alone but alas, my mouth was still duct taped.
"Mrs. Yuk, there's no need to be alarmed. I'm here to help you." He uttered as he crouched down and removed the rope binding mother's arm before stripping the duct tape from her mouth.
"Thank you so much, you are so kind." My mother held his hand in hers and shook it firmly.
I glared at him.
He must be pretending to help us so that he could do something horrible to us later on. He's one of those disgusting men, I'm sure.
"Miss Yuk." I heard him call out. I immediately shot my head up to see him right in front of me. Instinctively, I stretched my leg to kick him in the gut but he surprisingly dodged it.
"I knew you were suspicious of me." He mumbled before ignoring my protests of letting him unbind me, "How's your wound?"
I immediately stopped struggling and froze. The guy who was tending my wounds earlier, could it be him?
No. Even if he was that man, I still refuse to be saved by a disgusting human.
I don't want to be freed from a filthy human like him. He'll just act all nice at first but soon he'll do something terrible. That's what all filthy humans do.
I just want to go back. I just want to be back at home with Mickey. I just want to see Jimin, Mina, and the others.
He quickly spun me around and untied the rope around my wrists. As soon as he did, I pushed him away and ran towards my mother, removing the duct tape from my mouth.
"STAY AWAY!" I yelled at him, hiding behind my mother.
Dongwoo stared at us monotonously before letting out a big sigh. He stood up and bowed, straightening up after.
