Amina
*Two months later*
Heartache. It is the worst thing to go through as a woman. You put your all into one person only to be betrayed weeks later finding out that someone you thought you loved was getting married to a woman that you never liked. The heartbreak I was going through was worse than the heartache I was going through with Trevon, it honestly killed me inside.
I sat on the couch with Tonton as he snuggled under me while I watched TV, It was late night at night and nothing was on TV at this time. Most of the time I would already be at the strip club but what happened two months ago I quit. I couldn’t sit somewhere where there were lies all over. My mind was everywhere to the point where I couldn’t even sleep at night, that’s how corrupt I was over Jaye. Even after the fact that I have been lied to my heart couldn’t let go of all the good times me and him shared but I got over it, I had to progress in my life.
A commercial came up of Jaye’s album promotion and I just sucked my teeth looking at the ceiling and sighed making Tonton lick all over my neck.
“When Trevon takes you does he ever groom your behind, ugh!” I said changing the channel.
Seventeen times, that’s how much times I have seen Jaye’s face. I didn’t count because I missed him I counted because that was all I seen all my damn TV today. It was becoming the most annoying thing on earth. The boy was on my radio and my TV there was no way to get away from him.
Knock knock!
I got up slipping on my slippers walking over to the door.
“Who is it?” I yelled.
“Delivery for an Amina!” she yelled and I looked down at my phone and it was literally one in the morning. Who does damn deliveries at one in the morning? I don’t know what type of prank they were pulling but I wasn’t going to have it.
I opened the door and saw a florist standing there with a bouquet of roses in her hand.
“Sign please?” she asked and I politely smiled signing the paper on the clipboard, “Where do you want me to put the rest?” she asked and I looked at her.
“Rest?” I repeated after and she nodded her head tapping the pen on the number of bouquets that was sent to me which was twelve bouquets. Twelve bouquets which was going to smell up my house, “Um you could set them on the floor in my living room, its fine.” I answered and she nodded her head signaling the other florist as they walked inside with different flowers from white roses, red roses, calla lilies, baby breaths just anything that I can really pick out.
“Mina, um can I borrow a few- what the hell is this?” Casidee said looking at all the flowers in awe.
I pulled her inside and closed the door then walked around the flowers literally taking in all the beauty. I walked over to my favorite flower Calla lilies and saw the card then picked it out and opened it.
Just something to brighten your day – Your secret admirer
I smiled at the note until Casidee snatched it from my hand and smiled.
“You know who is this from?” she asked and I smiled.
“I don’t know maybe a secret admirer.” I giggled.
She scoffed, “Girl please, must be Jaye.”
I rolled my eyes, “I don’t think so, only because Jaye is overseas on tour and he hasn’t called me or texted me ever since the incident, I’m just ready to move on you know?” I said and she pulled me into a hug making me smiled.
