Chapter 5: What Is Her Number? (Harry’s P.O.V.)

I think I just met the most gorgeous girl in the world. I mean, her friend wasn’t that bad looking either, but she just drew me in. I wanted nothing more than to take her home and see her full beauty in her natural state, but that didn’t happen. On top of that, I didn’t even think to get her number. God, I am such an idiot.

                “Order when you’re ready.”

My mind flashed to her face again at those words. God Harry, be civilized.

“Hey,” Louis tapped my shoulder, “Are you okay?”

                I nodded, “Can you order?”

                “Sure.”

I didn’t hear anything after that. My mind was flashing back to her long, choppy red hair that fell perfectly onto her shoulders. Her calm green eyes gazing out the window as I had drove. That image was stuck in my brain. She was stuck in my brain.

“Please pull up to the first window.” I caught the end of what the girl had said, but I listened nonetheless. We pulled up to the window and Louis handed me the money. We were quickly handed back the change and told to have a nice night before I went to pull up to the second window.

“Here you go,” a guy said as he handed me the bags of food which I passed to Louis. “Have a nice night.”

I was still in my daze as I pulled away from the drive thru. I really wasn’t aware of this until Louis started yelling.

                “Harry!”

I blinked as I noticed the car in front of me had stopped. I slammed on the brakes, stopping mere inches from the car’s back bumper. We both were panting heavily as we regained ourselves.

“What is wrong with you?” Louis asked as he looked over at me, “You almost got us killed!”

I avoided eye contact as I mumbled, “Sorry.”

He shook his head as he sighed at me, “What is on your mind, mate?”

I sighed as the light turned green. I slowly began to ease through the intersection as I choose my words.

“I can’t get her out of my head.”

He raised an eyebrow at me, “Her? Who do you have stuck in your head?”

“That red head.” I groaned. “Her image has been seared into my brain.”

Louis chuckled at me. This was probably really entertaining for him. I also knew that there was no way that he was going to let me live this down.

“Well,” he said, “you don’t have to worry about any competition from me.”

I raised an eyebrow at him as I looked away from the road for a moment, “What do you mean?”

“No offense mate,” he started, “You can have the red head. You see I have more of a thing for dark brunettes.”

I shook my head as I turned back to watched the road. It would have been perfect if we were all together, but I had to be a fucking idiot. Why hadn’t I gotten her number?
