Warriors: Blueshadow's Flame

Chapter 1

"Hey! Bluekit! Wait for me!" Bluekit turned to see a little ginger tom with huge amber eyes running after her and she purred she was bigger than her littermates who seemed small and clumsy in comparison to herself but she loved them and she could feel it in her bones that they would be strong too before long "where's Smokekit?" She asked Flamekit glanced around and nodded to the warriors den "we have a plan Smokekit is hiding outside the warriors den, Lightningflare is there we're going to get ready to pounce on him after you call him" Bluekit purred with amusement "right Flamekit off you go" Bluekit watched her brother scamper away through the snow it was nearly up to his whiskers, while Bluekit was tall and long legged in comparison when she saw the bush stop quivering she assumed they were ready and called loudly "hey Lightningflare! Come and look at this!" Her father poked his head out of the warriors den and stepped out into the sunlight, he was the exact image of Flamekit, only much bigger Lightningflare began to pad over when the other two kit let out huge caterwauls for their tiny size and pounced square on his shoulders, feeling that her job was done Bluekit scampered over to join in and leapt up beside her brothers with a powerful leap their father, groaning dramatically flopped to the ground and battered at them with soft paws. "Good attack whose idea was it?" He asked "mine!" Stormkit meowed proudly and Lightningflare nodded "well I have to go on patrol I'll see you kits later" with the final comment he sprang to his paws and shook out his pelt before trotting across the clearing. Bluekit stood up to and shook out her sleek pelt "brr! This snow is cold!" She meowed
"Try it in the middle of Leaf Bare" a familiar voice purred and Bluekit looked up to see their older sister and the medicine cat apprentice, Mintpaw looking down at her with her green eyes shining with amusement "hi Mintpaw!" Bluekit purred Mintpaw nodded to her "well I'd better be off, Hawkshade wants me to collect juniper before it shrivels up" Mintpaw meowed over her shoulder be fore trotting away Bluekit sighed was everyone busy? She wanted to be outside the camp exploring and hunting with her clan not cooped up in camp she padded over to Nightstar who was sitting on Shadetree and looking over the camp and leapt up beside her "everything ok Bluekit?" Nightstar asked and Bluekit sighed "am I the only kit that wishes they were out hunting for the clan instead of being cooped up in camp?" She asked her mother Nightstar looked at her sympathetically "no Bluekit I felt like that when I was a kit, don't worry in half a moon you will be an apprentice" Bluekit looked up at Nightstar
"Thank you!" She purred but her mother wasn't listening she was staring into the bushes her amber eyes wide and she was tasting the air suddenly a loud yowl echoed outside camp "SoarClan! Attack!" Nightstar leapt from the branch to call orders to the warriors "Bluekit get all the kits inside the elders den! Now! I'm relying on you!" Bluekit gasped and followed calling to Smokekit, Flamekit, Dawnkit and Waspkit "Nightstar said we have to get to the elders den!" The kits nodded and ran across the clearing terror lighting their eyes as warriors battled around them Bluekit followed and staged at the back, fighting all her instincts to run forward where it was safer they dodged around warriors and piles of prey to scramble into the elders den Coldpool was already there and her eyes lit up and she let out a sigh of relief "thank StarClan you are all ok" Bluekit nodded and began washing out her grimy fur when she stopped "hang on! Where's Waspkit?" Dawnkit whirled around in alarm
"Her was just behind me!" She wailed and Bluekit steadied her breathing
"I'll go find him, no one leave the den, please!" She called before scrambling out into the clearing the battle was still raging and she heard a cry from Waspkit "no! Don't hurt me!" And saw a huge dark brown tabby rearing over him bringing back a paw to swipe Waspkit over the ears Bluekit ran forward and bowled him out of the way just as the tom swiped and caught her on the back of her head and stars exploded before her eyes.
