Chapter 12

Tris pov

Tobias and I run into the hospital where Levi is at and quickly get directions to his room. Good if he has a room he's not dead.

We quickly ride the elevator, walk the hallway to his room, and get there.

Christina stands outside his door with a broken leg. She has a cast on and crutches. She gets up and looks scared as I quickly walk towards her.

"Tris I'm so so sorry, please don't hate me. It wasn't my fault the car came out of no where" she quickly says but I cut her off with a hug.

"I'm not mad at you. This wasn't your fault" I say and she hugs me back the best that she can with her crutches.

"Can we go in and see him" I say looking into Levi's room.

"Yeah. I will go get the doctor to explain his condition" she says

I walk in and see our small little boy laying down with his eyes closed and tons of machines hooked to him.

"What's wrong with you baby?" I say as tears fall down my face. I hold his tiny hand and Tobias stands next to me holding it with me.

"He's in a coma." Someone says behind us

We turn around and look at the man standing in the door.

"The impact the car crash had on your son was too strong. When he came in he was holding on by a thread, he later then went into a coma" the doctor explains

"I'm doctor Melton, I'm the head doctor on your sons case. But please call me Tom" Tom says

"Do you think our son is going to wake up" I ask

"Cases like these are always different. It could be days, weeks, even months before we see an improvement in Levi" Tom says

"If he's not up by the end of the month we could move him home and monitor him there" he adds

"But the longer he doesn't wake up the quicker his organs start to fail" he quickly says

"Fail" I repeat putting a hand on my mouth

"How long would that take for them to start failing" Tobias ask

"At his age about 3 months" Tom says and I lose it. I start to cry and Tom brings me into a hug.

"I can assure you I will do everything in my power to help your son" Tom says pulling away from our hug and Tobias quickly grabs my hand.

I look down at our strong hand holding and then up at him with a disgusted face.

"Thanks doctor" Tobias says and Tom nods and leaves

"What is up with you" I say once Dr. Tom leaves

"I mean that hug, who gives their patients mother a hug. I didn't like it not at all. He's all over you" Tobias says

"It was a hug" I say annoyed

"I don't have time to argue Tobias, Our son is sick and might be dying so get over what ever jealousy you have and be there for our son. Be there for me because Im holding on by a thread and if anything happens to our son I will-..." I say but start to cry

"Okay, okay. Shhh I'm sorry. He's going to be okay, everything is going to be okay" Tobias says hugging me

We spend the night at the hospital and the rest of the week here. Levi is still not up, I hope he wakes up soon.
