Chapter 23

Tris pov

I hold a cup of coffee for Tobias as he gets all his paperwork into his bag for work.

"Are you sure you can't stay home today. It will be just this one day" I say and he sighs coming over to me.

He wraps his strong arms around my waist and I rest mine around his neck.

"I'm busy at work. Today is not a good day to stay home" he says grabbing the coffee from my hands and taking a sip then putting it down on the kitchen counter next to us.

"Don't forget about tonight." I say

"What's tonight's" He ask and I sigh

"Are you being serious" I ask

"No babe I'm sorry. I know tonight is the gender reveal party" he says and I playfully push him

He puts his arms back around me and lifts my chin to look at him.

"I love you" He says

"I love you too" I say and he leans down and kisses me.

I put a hand on his cheek while he deepens our kiss. I kiss back with the same force and he adds tongue.

I'm lifted onto the kitchen counter and we start making out. Kissing with so much force, I unbutton a few of his shirt buttons and he pulls at my robe.

"I have to get going" he says as I kiss his jaw

"Few more minutes" I whisper and his lips move to my neck

He sucks on my collarbone area causing my to quietly moan. I pull him closer and connect our lips back together. I take off his belt and he gets ready to pull down his pants when Elena comes running down the hallway.

I quickly cover myself with my robe and he zips his pants back up.

"Daddy what are you doing here" Elena says not expecting her dad to be home at this time because he's normally a work.

"I was talking with your mother but I should get going" he says kissing her head.

"Bye bug. Be good with mommy" he says to her and she nods

"Bye beautiful. I will see you later" he says to me and I smile.

We quickly kiss then he leaves.

"I was going to wear a really nice strapless summer dress but looks like I can't because of you" I say showing Tobias the hickie he left on my collarbone this morning.

"You're the one that started it. I was trying to leave for work" he says and we laugh.

"It's okay I can just wear this one" I say showing him a dress that covers my collarbone

"That ones pretty" He says as I change.

He zips the back up for me then starts kissing the side of my neck.

"Tobias... I have to get ready" I whisper, holding his face while he kisses my neck. I peck his lips then pull away.

"Maybe we can continue this later" I say

"Yes" He says

"Only if I'm feeling good" I say

"Okay" He says kissing my head, grabbing my hand then walking us downstairs.

"What do you think it is" Marlene ask as we all sit in the living room waiting for Tobias and my parents to come home with the catering food. Elena also wanted to go so she's gone. It's just me, Tobias, and our friends.

"Tris thinks it's a boy but I think it's a girl" Tobias says

Tobias and I don't even know what we're having. The only people that know are our parents. We had the doctor call them and tell them so they can get the cake made with either the blue or pink inside.

"I think it's a boy too. I mean look at that stomach is huge for 5 months" Christina says

"Yeah it's very big so far. We've asked the doctor about it. She just says it's part of the pregnancy" I say putting a hand on my belly

I lay my head on Tobias shoulder and he wraps his arm around my waist.

"Are you nervous about having another kid" Zeke ask Tobias

"He shouldn't be. He's a great dad" I say and Tobias smiles

"Thanks babe" Tobias says to me then pecks my lips

"I'm nervous but I'm not. Does that make sense" Tobias answers Zeke question

"What about you tris" Zeke ask me

"I think I'm the same with Tobias but I can't wait to meet this baby already this pregnancy sucks" I say and everyone laughs

"I don't mean to crash your gender reveal party but will and I have an announcement" Christina says

"No go head Chris. What's this announcement" I say laying back and rubbing my belly

"We're expecting" she says and everyone cheers

Tobias and I are the only ones in our friend group that has kids so it's nice knowing more of our friend are going to start having them. They are all engaged we're just waiting for their weddings which are all a month apart and since we are all close friends we are in all of their weddings as bridesmaids/ groomsmen.

"Chris that's great" I say going over to her and hugging her

"My best friend is having a baby" I cheer and everyone joins in congratulating will and Chris.

"I can't wait to have a belly like this I'm so excited to be pregnant" Christina says touching my belly

"It's not that fun Chris" I giggle

"I can't wait for our kids to have play dates" she says jumping up and down.

"Now I want a baby" Marlene says and uriah's eyes go wide

"Me too" Shaunna says

"Oh man" Zeke says covering his face

"Dude being a dad is the best job in the world, it's not that bad" Tobias says comforting his friend

"Okay" Zeke says

"We're having a baby" shaunna screams jumping onto him and attacking him with kisses

"Can we have a baby" Marlene ask Uriah

"Why not" Uriah says and they start to kiss

Christina looks at will and they start going at it.

Tobias looks at me and I push him away.

"Ready. Set. Go" my mom says as Tobias and I hold the knife to cut the cake.

"Right in the middle" Evelyn says

Tobias and I push down onto the cake and everyone is so excited.

We pull out the slice and I'm confused.

"It's blue and pink, what is the baby?" I say

"Babies" my dad says and I look at Tobias with wide eyes

"We're having twins" Tobias says

"We're having twins" I say getting up from my seat feeling very lightheaded and nervous.

I was not expecting this.

"But How is this possible the doctor has never mentioned twins" I say

"She said at first she didn't know but when she was looking for the gender at your last appointment that's when she figured it out" my mom says

"Babe, are you okay? You don't look so good" Tobias says holding my hand

"I'm fine" I say and everything starts spinning.

The next thing I know I'm on the floor. I passed out.
