Chapter 13

Tris pov
2 months later

Tobias and I are not in the best place right now. I'm always at the hospital visiting Levi while he works.

He visits Levi a few times out of the week due to work. He's never home. I'm always alone. He works so much just to get the extra money to pay for our house bills and Levi's bills.

I told him I would take a part time job but he doesn't want me to work because I'm pregnant.

We argue all the time about money, Levi, our wedding, the new baby coming.

It just feels like we are in opposite worlds.

I'm fast asleep in bed when I hear the front door open. Tobias moments later walks into the room, takes a quick shower, then joins me in bed.

He doesn't kiss me hello or goodbye anymore, he just leaves me in bed to go to work then returns in the night coming back to me in bed.

I lean against the kitchen counter and look threw today's mail.

Tobias and I got in an argument this morning because I confronted him on not being home anymore.

I understand he's working to pay for our bills but one day off won't kill him, I want my fiancé back. I want things to go back to the way they were.

I throw the mail on the counter and quickly put some shoes on and grab my purse. I walk out the house, into my car and drive to the nearest coffee shop.

I don't want Tobias and I to argue, I shouldn't have questioned him on never being home. He's doing it for us. Coffee and donuts should cheer him up.

I get a box of donuts and 6 cups of coffee, 2 for him and I then 4 for his cop friends that he's always working with.

I walk into the station and am greeted by everyone, they all know me. I'm here often. I distribute the coffees to all of Tobias work friends then go to Tobias little office.

I stand by the door and him and another cop are talking. It's a girl cop. She has her hand on top of his on his desk and Tobias is talking to her with a big smile.

"Hmm" I say clearing my throat walking in

They quickly turn their heads and face me.

"Tris, what are you doing here" Tobias says surprised

"I was bored at home and I thought we would go see Levi together tonight, so I came over brought some coffee and doughnuts." I say holding the cup carrier and doughnuts.

"Well um thanks babe that's very nice" Tobias says getting up from his seat and kissing my cheek.

"Is this your wife?" The girl cop says, she has a brutish accent. She's extremely pretty too.

"Fiancé. Tris meet officer Hobbs, officer Hobbs meet Tris" Tobias says introducing us

She extends her arm out and waits for me to shake it.

"It's great to meet you tris. Please call me Lindsey" she says

"Nice to meet you too" I say

It gets quiet for a few seconds so rest my hands on my small pregnant belly and offer her my coffee since I didn't bring her one.

"I didn't know Tobias would have company in his office" I say a little shady "but here take my coffee it's not good for the baby anyway. I shouldn't be drinking it" I add

"Are you sure" she ask

"Yeah go head" I say nicely but if I'm being honest I really wanted that coffee.

"So baby? You're expecting?" She says in her wonderful British accent.

"Yeah baby #2 is on the way" I say

"This is your 2nd child, how lovely" she says

"How old his your 1st" she adds

"He's 1 And a few months" Tobias says and I look down, thinking about our poor Levi in the hospital makes me so upset and sad.

It gets quiet again so I sigh and decide I should go.

"I just came by to drop that off, I guess we could just meet up at the hospital. I want to see how Levi is doing" I say to Tobias

"Um okay I will see you over there." Tobias says and I nod

We give a quick peck then I leave.

As soon as I get in the car and start driving away I cry. I cry because of Levi, I cry because I'm losing Tobias, I cry life is just terrible. I don't know what to do with it anymore.
