I said, "Link I-uh..." I bit my lip then tried to look away from his eyes but I couldn't. I said, "Link, I have feelings for you too bu-"
Before I could finish I felt something warm collide with my lips. I realized it was Link's lips. He was kissing me. I wanted to savor the moment. The kiss was gentle, not forced at all, it felt so natural. I felt his warm lips on mine. As much as I wanted to kiss back I couldn't. I could not bring myself to do it. Deep down I wanted to but I was betrothed to Ganondorf. I pulled back and Link looked at me with a confused face.
I said, sadness filling my core, "Link I love you too. But I am betrothed to Ganondorf. It's how Hylians and Gerudos will be at peace. I'm sorry, we can never be together."
I felt my tears clouding my vision. Then I felt arms wrap around me. Link was hugging me.
He said, "As much as I love you I understand your decision. I hope we can still be friends. But can you at least think more about it?"
I said, "There is no way to change my fate right now. But I will think about it."
With a sigh I heard Link say, "Thanks."
