Soo Emi

"A-Assistant?" My eyes bulged.

Flashbacks!

"You're missing 1 person. Who could it be? No one else was left other than...?" He pointed at himself.

I dropped my arms. "You?"

"Oh, I have a meeting on Friday? Thanks, assistant." He teases and sits back at his desk.

"You made me.....run through so many flights of stairs." I whisper.

"I feel bad for you. Now for your next task."

Damn.

That was some cruel crap.

I blinked and focused back on Seokjin.

"I'm sorry, Emi, but I can't hire someone with your kind of job experience and immediately put you in a high ranking position. You'll have to start from an Assistant and work your way up."

I let my hands lay on the table. "I understand. That makes sense."

He reaches over and grips my hands with his. "But, guess what?"

"W-What?"

"You can learn and we can promote you."

"Who can teach me?"

"Your boss."

"Who's my boss?"

Please don't say Hoseok.

All the time, it's Hoseok and he always finds a way to surprise the crap out of me by appearing in places I never thought he'd be in...

Seokjin points to himself and I gasp.

"You?"

"It's me, baby girl." He beams and I couldn't help, but blush.

Not gonna lie, I am really relieved to hear that.

"You're my boss." I lean back and cross my arms across my chest with a smirk on my face. "Did you plan this?"

"Did I?" He copies my smirk. "Namjoon and I are close too, you know."

I giggled, then looked down with a sigh.

This is it.

I'm so excited.

This is what I wanted.

I can help my father and he can finally rest.

He can finally be happy again.

He won't stress out anymore.

This is what I wished for.

My father can come back home.

"Emi?"

My thoughts fade away and I realize that a tear has escaped my eye.

Shoot.

I quickly wipe it away and look back up at Seokjin with a big smile.

"Thank you." I tried to sound so grateful and happy, but it came out soft and choked. "Th-This really means a lot to me. Really."

"Emi..."

He stands up and walks over to my side of the table. He kneels down on one knee and places his hands on my knees.

I covered my face and tried to hold in sobs.

I didn't know if these tears were happy or sad. They just came out and I didn't stop them in time.
