"I'm not rich so don't expect expensive presents" You joked to Jackson and Bambam as you took a seat on the couch next to Yugyeom. When you sat down in the middle of the couch you were immediately pulled by the waist over into Yugyeom's lap. He smiled at you when you turned and looked at him. His face was a bit redder than normal. 'He must be a bit tipsy' You thought. The other members said nothing about your obvious closeness with Yugyeom.
"Are these your parents here?" Mark pointed at an ornament hanging in the middle of your tree. "Yea that's us a couple of years ago when we all lived in Seoul" You replied. The ornament was of you and your parents standing in front of your house right around Christmas time. While you were sitting you could feel Yugyeom placing his chin on your shoulder, rubbing his head back and forth like he was trying to get comfortable. His arms started to snake around your waist keeping you locked in his lap.
Once everyone found a seat in your living room Jinyoung and Jackson began handing out the presents one by one to each person. You and Yugyeom's presents created a stack on the coffee table in front of you. Mark was still admiring all the photos of you and your family when he glanced over at you. It was clear that Yugyeom was acting way more touchy-feely than normal. You mouthed to Mark 'Is he drunk?' because you didn't want to say it out loud but you were pretty sure he was.
Instead of responding to you Mark pulled his phone out and began typing something. When he was done he wiggled his phone in front of you like he wanted you to check your messages. You reached towards the coffee table, still trapped by Yugyeom's embrace noticing you had one new message from Mark. It was written in Chinese instead of Korean, probably because Mark knew Yugyeom could not read in Chinese. His text said:
'Yea he's drunk. Probably because he took a few shots before we came over, for some reason he seemed more nervous than usual I think because of his Christmas gift to you' You looked up at Mark surprised that Yugyeom would be nervous to give you a present. But then you remembered when he gave you your necklace, and how nervous he had gotten back then.
After that Mark sat down and it was finally time to open gifts. You liked to watch everyone open their presents rather than opening your own. So you were in no rush to open the gift Got7 had gotten you. On the other hand, as soon as they got the green light from Jaebum, Bambam and Jackson tore open their gifts as fast as they could. Bambam's face was priceless when he realized you had gotten him the shoes he had been begging for the last month. Youngjae was mad at first when you got him a joke cucumber stuffed animal, but laughed when he opened his second gifts of a stuffed otter plushie. Overall everyone seems to love the gifts you picked out for them.
By the time you were almost finished opening presents you noticed Yugyeom was starting to sober up. His face wasn't as red anymore, he still wouldn't let you leave his lap but he leaned back so you had some room to move.
You only had one present left, Yugyeom's. You were going to open it sooner but every time you picked it up Yugyeom made grunts and noises basically telling you no. At this point, no one was really paying attention to you or Yugyeom.
