Chapter 18

The next day you spent most of the day trying to find a good day for D.A meeting, but it was harder because the D.A members were approaching you and Harry all the time asking you about the meeting and what will you do during the meeting.
Potions was the first lesson you took after the holidays, and oh boy how much you hated yourself for not staying quiet
"Eighty points!!" Yelled Hermione after you walked out of Potions "we lost eighty points (Y/N) because you couldn't ignore Snape!!"
"I don't care Hermione" said Ron "did you see the look of shock on his face? I've seen everything now, I'm ready to die"
"But still eighty points is too much" said Hermione
"You lost eighty points?" Said a voice from behind you. You turned around and saw Zacharias "you Gryffindors lose points faster than Harry's Fireblot"
"Even though we lose many points, remind me who wins the house cup each year? Oh right, Gryffindor" you said and the four of you walked away
"Shall I jinx him? I can still get him from here" said Ron raising his wand
"Forget it" said Harry "we shouldn't worry about hi--"
"Hi, Harry" said a voice behind him. He turned around and found Cho standing in there
"Oh" said Harry "hi"
"We'll be in the library, Harry" said Hermione firmly. Harry looked at you and you pointed your head at Cho
'Go get her' you mouthed and walked to Hermione and Ron.
"I thought you didn't like her?" Asked Ron
"Well, yeah I don't like her but Harry's happier is way more important to me" you said
"That's very nice of you (Y/N)" said Hermione.
You spent an hour in the library half studying and half listening to Harry while he talked excitedly about his date with Cho next month
"You'll go with Fred too, right?" He asked
"Well- he did say we will go on the next trip so I think" you said
"No double date?"
"No. Harry this is your first date with Cho and my first with Fred! It must be special. So maybe next time"
"Well I don't want you to jinx her"
"If she did anything stupid then I will"
Harry laughed and Hermione looked at you
"I will never understand you two" she said
"Because they're not books" said Ron and you laughed and high fived him.
"At least I understand books. You can't even understand your own handwriting" she said
"Apply cold water to the area of the burn" you said
"What burn?" Asked Ron
"Just an expression" said Hermione.
After your lessons you went to the library again to work on Umbridge's homework. The library was full with students and most of them were fifth year, they were writing notes, finishing their homework and reading.
"Ron" you said and he looked at you "does your father......know anything about the Department of Mysteries?"
"No.." he answered "why though?"
"It's just.......Steve said that Voldemort, stop it Ron!!, wants something from it" you said
"How does he know?" Asked Harry
"I don't know" you answered
"More important, why did he even tell you?" Asked Hermione "I mean, that must be top secret"
"He said that it might help us, you know. If anything happened" you said
"But if it's true" said Harry "what does he want?"
"It must be something important" you said 'get the hint please' "he said that it contains very important things"
"I don't think this is the right place to talk about this topic" said Hermione
"Let's go to the common room" said Ron "I am so done with studying".

But the common room was packed with Gryffindors. Shrieks and laughter filled the room. Fred and George were demonstrating their latest hat of joke shop merchandise
"Headless Hats!!!" Shouted George as they showed the students the hat and what it could do
"Harry" you called and he looked at you "you're tired. Go to sleep, I'll finish your homework"
"Thank you" he breathed and gave you his books "I owe you one" and he went to his room
'Damn right you do' you thought and started with Umbridge's homework. When you were about to finish it Fred sneaked behind you and put the hat on your head
"Fred!!" You yelled as he laughed with George
"Two gellons for a hat but I'll give it for free for you because it suits you" he said
"Hilarious" you said and took it off "it's pink and fluffy, reminds me of Umbridge"
"Alright you could've said that you don't want it" he said and took it.
"Ron" you said and he gave you a faint 'yeah' "Ron go and check on Harry" you said
"Why?" He asked
"I have a bad feeling" you said. He stood up and went to his room and after few minutes he came back
"He was dreaming..." he said
"Okay...." said Hermione
"But not a normal dream though" he said "it's about You-Know-who! He's very happy"
"What makes him happy is not a good thing" you said
"Maybe it's just a dream" said Hermione
"Harry was laughing too" said Ron "I think he should tell Dumbledore"
"We'll talk to him tomorrow" you said "I am so done with homework! I'll go to sleep, good night".

The next day you went to have breakfast and knew the reason for Harry's dream.
"So that's why he was so happy" you said as you read the article "a mass breakout, great"
"And the Ministry are doubt nothing" said Hermione
"They seriously blame Sirius?" You asked "I just want to meet Fudge and knock some scene into him"
"He's a blind and a deaf man, he's ignoring everything that's happening" said Ron
"I..I have to go" said Hermione "I think.....I'm the only one that could do this.....this is the only way" she said and ran to the door
"Why does she do this?" Asked Ron
"Hermione's ideas always work. Just wait and you'll be surprised" you said
"You have a point" said Ron "Hey Hagrid!"
Hagrid was standing beside the doors waiting for the Ravenclaws to pass. He was still heavily bruised and you noticed he had new cuts.
"All righ', you three?" He asked trying to smile
"Hagrid. Are you alright?" You asked as you three followed him
"Fine, fine" he said and tried to walk away
"No you're not" you said and he stopped walking "you're on probation"
"You're on probation" said Ron very loudly, so thatany students passing looked at you "sorry" he said
"Yeah" said Hagrid "'S'no more'n I expected, ter tell yeh the truth. Yeh migh' not've picked up on it, bu' that inspection didn' go too well, yeh know......anyway" he sighed deeply
"Don't worry Hagrid" you said "once Umbridge is out of Hogwarts you'll be free to bring every weird creature that you want" ' "you can bring every weird creature that you want" is that really the best that you could say'?
"(Y/N)'s right Hagrid" said Harry
"Thank you. Bes' go an rub a bit more chili powder on them salamanders or their tails'll be hangin' off'em next. See yeh, Harry....Ron.... (Y/N)" as he walked away you noticed Harry staring at the spot that Hagrid was standing on
"I hope this is the last bad news that we'll hear today" you said.
But it wasn't! Umbridge was in every Care of Magical Creatures lesson and Hagrid wasn't himself during the lesson. He was nervous and jumpy and you were sure that he listened to Hermione and he didn't show you anything dangerous, which made you really sad because you liked the creatures that Hagrid usually show you. The other thing is you can't go and visit Hagrid since Umbridge would definitely punish you or expel you, Harry couldn't talk with Sirius and the Gryffindor Quidditch team wasn't in the best mood because they don't have any time to practice, Umbridge always tries to put them in trouble and the Slytherins were making fun of them everywhere all the time!
But on the bright side Tony was there! It was as if he had ears everywhere! He was the saviour of Gryffindor, doing and saying what other teachers would never do or say, breaking all the rules without thinking about it. He was always there for every house just to be against Umbridge and Slytherins
The other good thing is the D.A meetings! After the news of the famous Ten Death eaters escape, the members were working extra hard and they were improving which made you forget about what's happening in the school because, THIS is why you're here! To help them, protect them and to teach them.
