Chapter 2

Beep beep beep my alarm went, opening my eyes to the bright sun as I shelter my eyes with my pillow. I removed my silk sheets off of me placing my feet on the cold floor, I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face then my eyes glanced to my calendar. "Fuck it's Saturday, why am I up ?" I said to myself "Mariah are you up?" Marie my favorite maid asked knocking softly on the door. "Yes, thy princess is up" I said giggling.

Marie is the only person that reminded me of my parents, she was are maid first she took care of me since I was in diapers, now she a maid in the Jones house to take care and watch over me,she kept a promise to my parents to do so which made me happy. "Good morning Mariah, go down stairs and eat your breakfast" Marie ordered, when she says breakfast it means live warm blood. "Good morning, ok thanks Marie" I said giving her a kiss on her cheek then ran down stairs.

I walked into the kitchen seeing that Vanessa and her parents were already feeding.

"Well good morning sweet heart" Mrs.Jones said giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning Mariah" Mr. Jones said kissing me on my forehead. Mr.Jones and Mrs.Jones were so nice to me reminding me of my parents, Mrs.Jones was an older image of Vanessa and Mr.Jones looked like Tim Cruise which was creepy. "Good morning Mariah" Vanessa said finishing her breakfast , as a new vampire I'm still new to the whole drinking live blood. "Here you go dear, eat up" Mrs. Jones said smiling. I was kind of hungry so I walked up to this guy who looked as if he was in his 40's I could hear his blood and smell it which made more hungry then before, I sank my sharp fangs into his neck as I sucked him dried. "Well...Well someone was hungry" Mr. Jones chuckled.

I was so happy now that I could see without my glasses I could see everything so clearly as I looked out of my window I heard a soft knock, I turned my head to see Vanessa walking in with a huge smile on her face wearing her yellow sundress.

"So after the game today there's a party at Derek's, do you wanna come?" Vanessa asked softly sitting at the edge of my bed.

" Nessa, you already know I don't go to parties" I said

"Why not?"

"I'm not into those type of things"

"Please, not at least for one drink?"

"I don't know, you remembered last time what happened?"

"Yea but that was your first time being drunk and having a hangover, now you can control it besides vampires can't get hangovers sooo please for me Mariah"

"I know I'm going to regret this but ok for you I will go"

I know I was really going to regret it but it's been a long time since I went to a party. Vanessa slammed my door open with make up and other girly things in her hands "Oh shit" I thought to myself. I wore a tight black dress with a jean jacket and my 3in black boots and Vanessa wore her hot pink tight dress with her brown gladiator sandals. "wow we looked hot" I smiled looking at us in my mirror then we said goodbye to everyone in the house and I drove my new black BMW that Mr. and Mrs. Jones brought me for my 116th birthday. We reached the party my eyes suddenly found Jake but seen that Kirsty wasn't with him. I used my vampire hearing to hear who he was talking to on the phone "I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon babe bye" Jake said ending the call between him and Kirsty. Vanessa seen a smile rise apon my face and she already knew what that meant Kirsty wasn't here "So are you going to talk to him or naw" Vanessa said nudging me "I don't think he will talk to me" I replied back still looking for a parking "Don't be silly you look fucking sexy Mariah" she said as I finally park the car and she was right I never felt like this or close to dress like this anywhere.

"I guess this is my chance" I said to myself taking a step into the party that's when I felt his eyes on me.
