¤CHAPTER EIGHT¤

Jason sat in his room, he couldn't believe Miss Martian made him write that apology note for Dick. He thought Dick should be the one apologizing. Just because he was sensitive doesn't mean Jason was the bad guy. He scoffed, Dick was such a baby.

The team sat in chairs in the living room, talking.

"Well, it's obvious they have a tense relationship." Said Aqualad, talking about the boys' relationship.

"But why? They're rich. Not a care in the world." Artemis replied, through gritted teeth.

Aqualad turned to the green archer, "Don't judge a person on how they're portrayed."

Artemis rolled her eyes, "Yeah sure."

The air was tense between Artemis and Aqualad, both firmly believing they were right.

"I'm going to go check on them." Miss Martian announced, having enough of the 'rich people are all the same, ignorant, self-absorbed, immature, and prissy.'

She made her way up the stairs, towards Dick's room. She opened the door, peeking inside. What she saw warmed her heart. Dick slept in the middle of his bed holding a stuffed elephant, Damian and Tim on either side of him. Tim's head was laying on Dick's chest, and Damian's head was cuddled in Dick's arm. Dark blue blankets were pulled over them, all of them sleeping soundly.

The Martian walked down the hall to Jason's room a smile on her face, and saw him shooting darts at a dartboard.

"Jason? You should probably head to bed soon." She said.

"I'm good." Jason said, but on seeing it was Miss Martian he added, "Actually I'm feeling tired, I'll be getting to bed."

He couldn't help but have a soft spot for the Martian. He knew from Dick's stories she was always honest, optimistic and innocent, something Jason could never be. She could also put up with Wally, and knew about Dick's little crush on him. Something that everyone had picked up on except Wally himself.

The green hero made her way back downstairs, "All sleeping, with Jason heading to bed now."

"Good," Aqualad yawned, "I guess we should sleep as well."

The rest of the team nodded, heading to the guest rooms they were given, Artemis couldn't help but enjoy the endless comfort of her bed, falling asleep almost immediately.
