Ch 24 Guardians move

The Ren dynasty was established many millennia ago. During that era, five major clans had fought furiously, many lives were lost. The clans fought and tried to over through each other. The battles were not fought for honor or pride, but for the cultivation resources. Everyone wanted more strength and the easiest way was to gather more resources. Billions upon billions were lost, the major clans that had divided the continent in 5 parts were now brought to their knee. Barely, managing to preserve their heritage, the cans decided to hold a contest. A contest that would decide the difference between followers and leaders. This contest was to last a century, and the strongest survivors clan would be declared the King of the continent. However, ruling the entire continent with absolute power proved to be an impossible task as the other four clans themselves didn't want needless interference in their business. The continent was later divided into five major parts and many minor parts. The other four clans decided to protect the peace that ensued and began to patrol different area that needed surveillance and were too far for the Ren clan. The territory of the Ren clan was richest in Ki, closely followed by the territory of the other four clans. The rest of the continent had far scarce Ki concentrations and were left to anyone with enough strength to acquire an area. Hence, the clans such as Long Clan and Ming Clans were born. These minor territories held no interest to the guardian clans as they seldom left their lands. The Ren clan however, decided to teach the talented individuals regardless of their birth in a place called the Royal academy. Only supreme geniuses were accepted as students. Soon, the students numbered in many and to cut down the numbers. The clans decided to allow the fights over any heavenly weapon or resources to be fought by the younger generation. This way, the survivors would be truly the cream of crop while the old monsters were benefitted by the resources.

The guardian clan were also engaging in many battles and the population of the cultivators was managed. The problem of the population however resurfaced when the elder of the clans outnumbered the new batch of disciples but this too didn't last too long. The beasts from the beast mountain waged a great war, trying to conquer the entire continent. When the battle ended, almost all the smaller clans were lost. The survivors however enjoyed the resources of the fallen clans and grew in strength. The guardian clans and Royal clan were still at the top of the food chain.

One day, a man came from the sea and began to slaughter the old monsters of all the clans. He continued until only a few old monsters were left alive on the continent. This had basically shaken the entire foundation of the Royal clan and the guardian clans. After a century of meaningless slaughter, he man went to the corner of the continent and laid a huge formation. He then cut out a huge plate from a mountain and placed it in front of the formation. With his sword, he carved a few words on it.

"All the cultivators who have reached the celestial realm in under 500 hundred years may use this formation to travel to the central continent."

"All the cultivators who are still at celestial realm after 100 millennia will be killed and their souls destroyed. To avoid such a fate, the cultivator under such circumstances may send their souls into the reincarnation cycle."

"All the cultivators between these two extremes, will need to move off the land and may wander the sea or need to cultivate in seclusion. Upon reaching a higher realm, you may come to the central continent."

Once, he had done carving the words, the man stepped into the formation but before he could activate it, a cultivator had asked him for his name and the name of the land.

"You do not deserve to hear my name and there is no name for such a small rock in the west." With that said, the man activated the formation and left. Since that day, the land was named the western continent. For the man to have referred to such a huge land as a small rock had broadened the horizons for all the cultivators and the beasts. Although, the wars were still waged and battles over resources were still fought. They had become far more intense, all the supreme cultivator wanted to go to the central continent.
