"What should I do next?"

Li Bai thought of ways to increase his popularity and fame. He really wanted to raise disciples this time, even if he was only ten years old.

He first thought of walking to the Hou auction house and insisting that he was the one who made the pills. He thought of it from Hou Ju's perspective and found out that believing that he made the pills was impossible. A trash like him, making pills?

He was the trash himself, so he knew just how trash he really was. He loathed the nickname, sure, but it made sense. A First Level Mark 0-gems like him could easily be called trash! He found it unbelievable himself that he made the pills, not to mention in the perspective of other people.

He regretted making the pills.

"What a waste of time."

.....

Becoming a major clan was only a matter of time for the Li clan.

Their wealth was getting closer and closer to the Yang clan's wealth, which was a major clan itself. If the Li clan manages to scrape up enough wealth to equal the Yang clan's, they would be considered as a major family, and the eight major clans would become nine.

Being a major clan had its benefits, especially because of one reason. Red Dragon City was annually visited by various influential sects because many hidden talents had been uncovered there.

Every year, a test would be held at Red Dragon City. Participated were the various clans from the neighboring cities. There was also the rare occasion in which cities from the edge of the country come to the capital just to participate. Backwater City was one of those cities.

Backwater City only really visited the Red Dragon City every three years, and only the major clans had the capability to even reach the capital. That was because between the capital and Backwater City was a massive desert.

The annual sect visit to Red Dragon City was getting closer. Only a couple of months were left before the major clans in Backwater City needed to depart.

The major clans had been scouting the commoners for potential innate talents. If they found one, they could let them join a sect under the name of their clan. For this reason, many of the commoners were excited.

The Li clan, in particular, had been offered countless times by the major clans to give them the enormous talent that the Li clan had, Li Bao.

The truth was that not only Li Bao had enormous talent within the Li clan. There were many obscure talents that the Li clan was secretly training in preparation for the sect visitation. They were already confident that within the next month, they would have enough wealth to travel to Red Dragon City on their own without the help of the major clans.

Li Bao was the most talented in the Li clan but there were close seconds. These obscure talents were revealed at the Annual Li Clan Testing Ceremony the past month.

.....

The next week, another auction was held, with Li Bai not attending. He already knew what would happen during the auction this time. Everyone would get surprised again and again.

Li Bai stayed in his room, waiting for the auction to end, because when it does, the items that he bought during the first auction would be given to him.

Besides, he needed to think about what to do next, as his pill plan failed. No one would believe that the trash Li Bai was capable of making such high-level pills!

He knew that he needed to do something incredible, but just believable enough in order to make the people accept that he made the pills. But what a supposed trash could do in the eyes of other people was something he couldn't imagine. He already knew his capabilities, he couldn't be objective about this.

He decided to ask the people who didn't look down on him much, which included his father, his sister, and some of the servants in their mansion. He visisted his father first, but he was too busy to even see his son. He went to his sister next, but she too already knew his capabilities, seeing him make pills with her own eyes. She, of all people, couldn't be more biased.

The servants were busy as well, so he couldn't speak to them. He would be imposing too much if he ordered them to talk to him. He cared about his image within the clan, because his treatment was based on this.

If he was too bossy and prideful inside his own clan, even the servants who took pity on him would treat him badly. His life within the Li clan would be worse than it is at the moment.

Li Bai couldn't think of anything and just lied down on his bed. He fell asleep soon after.
