Chapter 9

Hiccup's POV

It's been a week since I woke up and I've started to feel better. I'm starting to be able to walk on my own but I need some support sometimes and Toothless or Astrid are right there to help me.

"Hey Hiccup how's the side doing?" Snotlout asked as I limped into the academy. He's actually become more, sincere. We hardly even fight anymore.

"It's doing much better, thanks for asking." I said smiling at my cousin. It's like we were best friends now.

"That's great cous!" He exclaimed.

"Anyway. What's the training activity today, Hiccup?" Fishlegs questioned while scratching Meatlug.

"I'm just teaching you guys a new obstacle course today. We will do the course tomorrow. I think we all want rest."

----after Hic tells them the course----

I walked, or limped, back to my house, talking to Astrid.

"You know, I'm still really worried about you. Are you gonna be able to do training tomorrow?" Astrid asked while looking at me with worried eyes.

"Astrid, you have nothing to worry about. I will be perfectly fine. So don't you worry your beautiful mind." I said, lightly holding her shoulders and gazing into her beautiful sky blue eyes.

"But you're still injured and you want to do training. What happens if you get injured again?" She said with tears welling up in her eyes. Slowly, one escaped and started creeping down her cheek.

"Don't think like that." I said as I wiped the year from her cheek. "Just stop crying." I comforted as I grabbed her waist, kissed her gently, and hugged her. She nestled her head into my shoulder and I had my chin against her ear.

"I just don't want anything to happen to you. I love you Hiccup." She whimpered.

"I love you too, Astrid." We stood there and hugged for a few minutes until breaking apart and walking back to my house, fingers intertwined.

-----the next morning-----

Astrid's POV

I got up and remembered that we had training. And that Hiccup was gonna be in it. I started panicking, but then, I just took a deep breath, and stop worrying so much. So I grabbed chicken for Stormfly and fed her on the way to the academy.

"Alright girl let's head down." I said as I leaned over her head an pointed at the academy which I could vaguely see through the thick morning fog.

We landed and saw everybody but Hiccup in the academy. Oh gods what if he didn't make it. Ruffnut obviously saw me worrying Hiccup want gonna make it and came over and just pointed at the sky. When I looked up I was astonished at what I saw.

"Woah. When did he make that?" Snotlout said amazed.

He was using his flying suit to come to the academy. I felt worry but relief. Worry because he could crash and relief because he was ok. He did a loop an took a sharp turn and landed through the chain ceiling filled with holes. Show-off.

"Hey guys. Ready for training?" He said as he removed his helmet. Nobody said anything as they just stared at him put his flying suit away.

"What do you think you're going? Remember you're still hurt! You could've gotten more hurt doing that!" I yelled.

"Oh but I didn't get hurt Astrid." He gave me a small peck on the cheek.

"Let's get training!" He said as he jumped in Toothless and flew out the door. I quickly followed him, just watching to make sure he doesn't get hurt.
