Chapter 17

Hiccup's POV

This is the most perfect thing Astrid will ever get. It's a beautiful Gronckle Iron axe with the sharp class symbol on it, since deadly nadders are part of the sharp class, and on the back it's engraved, "I love you, forever and always". Now I gotta figure out the date. I ran downstairs to see if anyone was awake.

"Mom you awake?"

"Quiet Hiccup she's still asleep. What do you need?" Said dad. Do I tell him about the date or no?

"Well I have to arrange a date with Astrid for our 3 month anniversary and Mom was giving me all these good ideas and I needed her help in setting up the date." I said that really fast.

"Oh. That's definitely something you should ask your mother about."

"I know that. That's why she's helping me."

"Alright then. Good luck with Astrid son. I'll be around the island if you need me."

I decided to make breakfast for me and mom. Maybe eggs and some bacon. Yep. Eggs and Bacon. I grabbed the pans I needed and started cooking. It smelled really good.

"Mmmm what's that delicious smell?" Mom questioned as she rubbed her eyes and yawned.

"I made breakfast!"

"Oh thank you dear. Is it ready?"

"Yeah! Bacon just finished!"

We sat down and ate out food. It actually turned out really nice and I could tell mom liked it.

"I need your help."

"Of course darling anything!"

"I need help setting up the perfect day for Astrid and I. I have the gift ready."

"Let me see!" Mom said as she jumped up. I went upstairs and grabbed the necklace from my drawer.

"All handmade."

She looked at it with wonder.

"Hiccup, it's beautiful. She will adore it."

"Thanks mom." I hugged her.

"Now let's plan that date!"

We went to the cove because there were a lot of memories there. We set up blankets to lay on, tables to eat at, candles on rocks, and a small fire pit. I decided to cook all her favorite foods.

"There we go. Just keep her out of the cove until tomorrow."

"Mom, thank you. It's perfect. I love you." I hugged her.

"I love you too Hiccup." We stayed like that until we decided to head home. "C'mon. Get Astrid. I want to take her to meet someone."

"Uh... Who?"

"The bewilderbeast."

"Ah ok I'll be right back. Get Toothless and Cloudjumper ready!"

"Ok!"

Astrid's POV

"Hiccup what is this place?"I asked.

"Well since you ask, I'm gonna let mom explain it."

"Well Astrid, this was my home for 20 years. The dragon sanctuary. Follow me." Valka said. I decided to follow her with Stormfly close by. Hiccup stood next to me while Toothless was playing with Cloudjumper, who looked unamused.

"This is the home of the great Bewilderbeast."

I looked over a cliff and saw the biggest dragon ever. It's head had spikes that massive and tusks that could smash a village in meer seconds.

"Don't worry Astrid he's friendly." Hiccup said as he grabbed my hand. Valka all of the sudden bowed down and held her staff. Then, the creature peered it's head over the cliff. It's eye was about triple the size of an average Viking.

-back on Berk-

"Hiccup that was fantastic. Valka, thank you for everything. It was so much fun!"

"Anything Astrid. I'll see you tomorrow." Valka said as she kissed Hiccup goodbye and smiled at me then walked away.

"So anyway Astrid, since tomorrow is out 3 month anniversary, you wanna go for a date?"

"Yes Hiccup if course!!"

"Perfect! I'll pick you up at about 9 am! See you then!" He kissed me on the lips then hopped on Toothless and flew away.

I was really excited for our date tomorrow. I made sure I had the gift I had Gobber make since I wasn't really good at blacksmithing. It was a metal plate that could hang on walls, but in the shape of the strike class symbol, which was a night fury. I painted one of the tail find red, so it looked exactly like Toothless. He is going to love it. I decided to go to bed since tomorrow is our date.

I've never been so excited in my life.
