I laid in my bed, bawling my eyes out all night. I have a really bad concussion and my legs were badly bruised from being dragged. There was a knock on my door, which was locked, and I didn't bother getting up to unlock it. "Morgan!" It was Alexis, she continued to knock and call my name but all I could do was cry. Surprisingly, she busted in the room door. She had a scared look on her face. "What the hell is going on?!" She asked. I pulled my cover over my face and continued to cry, she sat next to me and snatched it off. "Morgan you getting me hella tight! What the fuck is wrong!"

"My fucking head hurts and I got big ass carpet burns and shit on my legs!" I hollered. "All because of Jarron!"

"Jarron?!" She sat up. "What did he do?" She grabbed her phone, "Morgan what the fuck did Jarron do I will kill his ass!"

"He texted me when I was with Dave." I cried. "And Dave got mad and just kicked me out and told me to never come back."

Suddenly, she seemed even more upset. "So Dave did this? Not Jarron?" She growled.

"He did it because of Jarron!" I yelled.

"Morgan wake up! This is the real world not no fantasy! Jarron didn't do a damn thing, it was all Dave! You need to let him go, before you get yourself killed!" She screamed. "I can't be doing all of this when I'm pregnant it's not healthy for my baby! Leave him alone! He said never come back then don't go back!" And just like that she slammed my room door.

The next morning I sat in the bar stool in the kitchen eating my cereal, barely opening my mouth just because I wasn't in the mood for anything. Alexis came down the stairs with a jogging suit on and sunglasses. "Quincy and I are going to my doctors appointment." I stayed silent and continued to slowly eat my cereal, she sighed and came close to me. "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings last night." She said. "I'm just tired of seeing you cry over this guy, and I'm tired of him putting his hands on you. But what I'm even more tired of is you running back. Just be smart Morgan, I love you." She kisses my forehead and left out the house.

At school, I could barely pay attention. I sat in the back of the class just staring at everyone, thinking about how great their lives are while I'm ready to die. I laid my head down on the desk when I felt someone hovering over me. "Morgan...."

I looked up and seen Asia. "Look I'm really not in the mood to argue or have a debate so if you want to yell at me just wait until tomorrow."

"No I don't wanna yell at you." She started. "I just...want to talk"

She sat next to me, "About what?" I asked.

"Alexis called me last night." She said. "Told me everything, and I just feel like I should be by your side while you're going through what you're going through. Domestic violence isn't easy, trust me I know my mom went through it with my dad. I was wrong for defriending you. I'm sorry." I shed a tear and she hugged me tightly. "I've missed you so much." She cried. "I felt so bad for talking to you the way I did at the studio, and I'm sorry for-"

"Stop being sorry." I sniffled. "I'm sorry for choosing a guy over my best friend."

She smiled lightly and played with my hair a little. "How do you feel?"

"Depressed." I started, "angry, confused."

She stayed quiet for a moment then spoke again. "How about I come over after school? Me, you, and Alexis can hang out like old times."

I nodded, "Sounds good- just don't bring Natalie."

"Trust me I won't." She stood up, "Come on, let's go to lunch."

After school, Asia and I stopped at Starbucks and headed to my house. "Alexis!" Asia called out setting her purse on the counter. "We brought you a macchiato."

She walked downstairs with a bright smile on her face. "It's so good to see you two together." She took her drink and took a sip. "What we doing girls?"

"Well." Asia looked at me, then back at Alexis. "We need to get Morgan in the mood, I mean look at her. She has never walked out the house  this hideous."

I widen my mouth. "Seriously Asia?" I laughed. "I'm offended."

"I'm sorry but everyone knows Morgan Lee doesn't leave the house without a full face and a new outfit! You look like you just left the gym!"

Alexis laughed to, "She's right Morg. How about we all get cute and go to the mall. I wanna look at some cute baby clothes anyway."

"Do you even know what you're having?" I asked.

She shook her head no. "I want a gender reveal party, and I want you girls to host it." She smiled and looked at me. "It'll help take your mind off of certain things."

I smiled back, "We'd love to."

After talking for a little while longer Alexis and I decided to get ready. Asia picked out a outfit from my closet and begged to style my hair. After almost two hours we were finally ready to leave and shop.

"How was the doctors appointment?" I asked Alexis as we drove in her car to the mall

"How was the doctors appointment?" I asked Alexis as we drove in her car to the mall.

"It was good. Quincy was so excited." She laughed.

"Why isn't Christian with them?" Asia asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know." I looked at Alexis, "Hey did you know they're talking about moving here?"

"Yeah. They're suppose to be apartment searching right now actually." She added.

"That should be exciting, and Morgan Jarron is hot. He can totally be your new boo." Asia said.

"I don't know." I sighed. "I don't think I'm ready for a new relationship."

"Just be patient and let it come to you." Alexis said before turning up the radio.
