"Alright Thomas, enough questions, let's see what you can do." You said, wiping sweat off of your forehead.
"But-"
"No. Come on, after we finish chopping firewood, I'll answer all your questions." You laughed, chopping another log with your axe.
"One last one...please." Thomas said. Chuck sat next to him, sharpening a stick for s'mores with a small knife.
"Fine. One last question." You said, shaking your head. Thomas paused, thinking.
"Okay... Alby said I had to stay away from you. What does that mean?" He asked, sticking the blade of his machete into the dirt.
"Albys my brother. He warns every Greenie, don't worry." You laughed. Thomas nodded, picking up the machete.
"So....you don't want me to stay away?" He asked, with a small smile as he hacked at a tree branch. You blushed a little, hiding your face as you pretended to wipe more sweat off your forehead.
"Maybe I don't." You said quietly. Thomas smiled, continuing to chop wood, stealing glances at you every few minutes.
