*Daichi's POV*
I walk home in silence with Suga. "Isn't the moon pretty?" Suga glances up at the moon. I stare at him. Peaceful. Calm. Sad. He radiates all that. In that moment, the person who had been the closest to me seemed so far away.
"Suga!" I call out before I can stop myself. "Hmm?" He turns around, giving me a small smile.
The world freezes.
I find myself inching towards him. I cup his face in my hands. "Daichi what are you--"
I pull him into a tight embrace. He falls silent, hugging me back. "I'm sorry Suga. I'm sorry for yesterday. It will never happen again so please stay as my friend. Don't leave me please..." I bury my face in his shoulders. "Hush now I won't leave. What makes you think I will?" I can feel him smiling as he lightly pats my back in attempt to comfort the troubled me.
"You're the best." I say and continue to take in the smell of cookies of his shirt.
"Glad you know."
We stay like that for a while more, finally separated by the sudden ring of a bicycle one or two streets behind. We continue our journey.
"Good night."
"Good night Daichi."
He steps inside his house and I head for home.
