*Suga's POV*
Somehow, I find myself in a little cafe near my current lodging, with the person I had been escaping all this while. I sip on my iced americano, gnawing nervously on the straw. "Where's... Yui?"
"We divorced 5 years ago..."
"I...I......"
I sit in silence, staring at the table.
"I'm sorry."
"Suga... What are you sorry for?"
"It's my fault isn't it? I broke up your family..." Years had passed, and I still hadn't forgotten or forgiven my sin. How could I forgive myself for tearing my best friend's happiness apart...
"What...What are you talking about? Why would you blame yourself for something I did wrong?" Daichi looks at me as if he is going to burst into tears any moment soon.
He moves his hand to stroke my face. I blink away the tears in my eyes. "...It hurts me to see you blame yourself for something that I had brought upon myself... Koushi..." Rei sits beside Daichi frowning in confusion while listening our conversation. She stays silent.
"How have you been lately?" Daichi looks at me with sorrow and worry in his clear eyes. I flash him a small smile. "Well...work, drawing... Not much different from before. Kyushu is a nice place although it's kind of colder up here..." We fall into silence. I look at my watch and stand up dramatically. "It was nice finding you again but I really need to go this time. I've got an appointment, at 2..." Daichi gives me a "Oh I understand" look. "Then, can I have your number..." I hastily key my number into his phone and head for the door. "It was great to see you again Suga..."
I smile at him.
"Me too."
