You started to walk to the other supplies as the silence was there. "I don't usually bring that up but, how's Taehyung going with his girlfriend?"
"I'm sorry. And about Taehyung and Jennie, they've been together for three years. They're planning to tie the knot on his 30th birthday."
You felt a sting on your heart. You blinked a few times as you knew the words triggered those tearducts. It was the month of October. Two months and they'll have it.
"Congratulations to them. How about you guys? Do you have a significant other?" You gave a cheeky smile to them.
"We all have found someone now, except for Jungkook and Jimin. We don't know why but it seems like they aren't just interested in girls or in relationships." Hoseok shrugged.
"Congrats to all of you then. I wish your relationships the best." You shook all their hands. "I'll be going from here. Feel comfortable under this tent. The children will arrive shortly."
They all smiled and nodded. As you walked you felt this heavy weight on your chest. Your heart felt heavy yet it's as if there's a missing puzzle piece.
You shrugged it off as Jungkook tagged along. You forced a smile on your face as you didn't want to make the maknae lonely just because of you.
You headed to the shelter with him. The children gave reactions of surprise as soon as they saw you. "Miss Y/N!" You started a group hug.
One younger boy was left out in the crowd. He looked the youngest and he was rubbing his eyes harshly. After all the others let go of the hug, the youngest went up to you.
"Hi noona." He kept rubbing his eyes. "Hello, Eun Suk. Did you have a good sleep?" The child's sleepy face turned into a happy one, his lips would reach his ear in pure happiness.
JUNGKOOK'S P.O.V.
I saw how noona interacted with the young boy. She looked motherly in my perspective, she'd be a great mother in the future. She poked the child's nose softly, resulting to a giggle. The boy then turned to see me. "Noona, who is he? Is he your boyfriend?" From that moment, I knew a pink hue spread on my cheeks.
"N-no. He is noona's friend." She smiled. I kind of got hurt with that though. Is it this what being friendzoned feels like?
The child crossed his arms and furrowed his brows like a boss. "That's good. He can't be your boyfriend. I'm your boyfriend."
Y/N noona pouted. She poked the child's nose again. "You can't have a girlfriend. You're only four!" Noona turned to me. "Oh, and call him Eun Suk just in case you feel awkward."
I nodded and smiled. "Is it okay if I carry him on our way back?" I put my arms in action. "Sure. Here." She handed Eun Suk from her arms to mine carefully.
Eun Suk pouted at first but he got used to me in a few minutes. Noona on the other hand led the other children, heading to the tent.
"Line up here, okay? Wait for your turn." She instructed as the children fell in line. The program they held was more of a feeding than an outreach.
Taehyung hyung and the other hyungs were in charge of handing the food and the giveaways were for later. Noona walked to the soup station, but came back towards my direction after a few seconds.
She had two spoons in her hand and the bowl on the other. "Why are there only two? Shouldn't there be three?"
She shrugged as she started blowing on a spoonful. "Open up, Eun Suk." The boy took the food in and said, "Your cooking is great noona!""What about me? I'm hungry too." I blinked innocently. She chuckled before taking another spoonful and blowing it. I took it in too after a few seconds. "Your cooking hasn't changed. It still tastes the same. But it's delicious!"
I exclaim in a good way. I didn't want to offend noona, but her recipe hasn't changed. It was the one we shared on the kitchen by the dorm.
She ate a spoonful for herself with the same spoon I used. I blushed at the sight of it. She looked at me like she was feeling awkward. "What? Washing the dishes isn't an easy job you know."
I was about to shrug the thought off when a narration burst out of my lips, "Does that mean we technically mean we kissed?"
Noona stared blankly, it was now her turn to blush. She gestured towards the back. "I'll go get another spoon."
I quickly took the chance to grab her wrist to stop her from her tracks. "No, it's alright. I don't mind sharing the spoon. I'm used to it since you know, I'm not an only child."
She slowly nodded and by time, the three of us had finished the soup. Noona seemed to only have two spoonfuls, I and Eun Suk did most of the work.
"Want more?"
I nodded. "Yes, please."
I sat on a spare bench and let go of Eun Suk since he wanted to play with the others. I waited for a bit until noona handed me another bowl. "Feed yourself this time. You aren't carrying Eun Suk anymore."
"No. I don't want to eat it by myself."
She gave me a blank, emotionless stare. "What a baby. Feed yourself." I shook my head like a child. "Aish. Fine. Just finish this serving, okay?"
I nodded immediately as a grin on my lips formed.
TAEHYUNG'S P.O.V.
We finally finished handing out all bowls. I didn't want to eat any for myself since they'll remind me of Y/N ah and that moment I kept forgetting about. It's a good thing Jennie was here or else I'll have to spend the day looking at nothing but Y/N ah's face."Jagi, why don't you try this soup? It tastes great. All the kids love it." Jennie inched a spoonful towards me.
"No, I'm fine."
"Please, Jagi? I'll feed you." I got kind of pissed off and didn't want a long conversation about it so I had to say yes. As I tasted the dish, it seems as if all memories I forced myself to forget long ago came back in just seconds.
No one could ever, recreate the soup Y/N ah only could cook.
