I put my last shoe into my box. Looking around my room, I sighed. I'm gonna miss being home in Phoenix. Everyday was special to me. I still don't understand why my dad chose UCLA though. I'm all in for it though, I heard it's a great school.
My FaceTime on my phone screen popped up. I grabbed my phone instantly smiling.

I clicked accept, taking a seat on my bed.
"Hey baby". I smiled as his handsome face popped up on the screen.
"Hey bae, I just wanted to see your sexy, beautiful, marvelous face". He grinned.
"Aww, don't try to butter me up Minion". I said looking at his hair.
"You know I love you, but I called to let you know that my flight is leaving early tomorrow morning". He sighed removing his face from the screen.
I shifted uncomfortably, "So, let's go do something. Let's have fun while you're still here".
"Aight bet Brooke, I'm on my way". He said before hanging up.
I clicked my phone off and got up. I was dressed plain and simple. Just a t-shirt and jeans. I never have to dress up when he's around. He loves me how I am.
I slipped on my tennis shoes, and slid my phone in my purse. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs to see Bakari smoking weed. I put my purse on the table and walked into the kitchen.
"Where you going Brooklyn"? Bakari asked from the living room.
"Out with Khalil, where's mom and dad"? I asked grabbing a Gatorade out the fridge.
I exited the kitchen and took a seat next to him on the couch. He looked over at me and shrugged.
"Probably out arguing or some shit. I don't fucking know. They always gone once you thank about it".
I laughed making him look over at me.
"You said thank, instead of think. You should've said once you think about it". I giggled making him sit his blunt dow Drn.
