Brooklyn
3 weeks later.

"There's a meeting in my bedroom! So Kashari please don't be late!" I sung around my bedroom.

I packed up my clothes and my other stuff. Bakari walked in and shook his head.

"The doctor said you can't be moving around as much." He frowned.

"You wanna help me pack my stuff then?" I asked making him nod.

I sat down on my bed and checked my phone.

My Future 💍
The moving truck on it's way to your house. You packed up yet?

I texted him back yes and sat my phone on my bed. Today was the day Kashari and I move in together. It might seems like we're moving too fast, but I'm ready. My mom agreed to me staying with him. I think she believes that he'll keep me safe.

Which he will.

"Brooklyn! Your Dad is on the phone!" My mom yelled.

Bakari and I looked at each other. Dad hasn't been home in a while. I think it's cause he knew that man shot me and he didn't do anything. I still loved him though. I just have limits now.

I got up from my bed stretching. Bakari packed my bags and I left my room. I went downstairs and answered the phone.

"Hello?" I asked.

"So you moving in with that Kashari boy huh?" He asked.

"Yep, it's our first apartment together. I can't wait until we have kids a buy a house." I smiled.

I heard him sigh, "Are you okay? I know what happened and I'm gonna explain myself sooner or later."

I took a deep breath. "Dad, I gotta go. The moving van is outside. I'll call you later."

I hung up the phone and tried to catch my breath. I looked down at my stomach rubbing it. It still stung from time to time. I'm gonna be okay though. At least it didn't mess up my chance of having kids. That would've been tragic for me.

"Brookie Camil! Hurry up your boyfriend is here." My mom yelled from outside.

I took a deep breath. I'm moving in with my boyfriend. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I was excited at first. Now, I'm more so nervous.

What if it doesn't work out? What if he doesn't like the way I cook? What if he doesn't–

"Babe, come on. It's getting I'm already tired and we gotta unpack." Kashari whined coming in the house.

"Okay, I just can't do any heavy lifting. My bags and boxes are upstairs." I nodded towards the stairs.

He glared at me, "You better be lucky your hurting."

I walked over to him and kissed his lips. He grabbed my waist pulling me closer.

"Aye chill, get y'all shit and hurry up." Bakari came downstairs.

Kashari laughed, "Wassup Bakari."

"Wassup." They dapped each other up.
