It was not until she felt the hot breath of someone around her neck that she realised she was not sleeping alone. A hand placed just near the top of her breast, legs dangling at the far end to not touch her, soft snores escaping from time to time, hair touching her cheek every now and then.
She inhaled a deep breath and even winced upon doing that, her muscles felt strained and stretched, every part o her body hurt. She moved slightly again and turned her face to look at the man asleep beside her.

The bags under his eyes and the tired face showed that he had not slept soundly for days but it didn't really matter. She wanted to sympathise with him but she just could not.
She was too tired and too sore to even think about him and what had happened, so instead she motioned the nurse to bring her, her baby boy.
"oh hello, hi baby." Anaaya breathed, tracing her thumb over his fragile head.
