Dear Wiz,

I did it today. I finally made myself get out of my room and go do something productive.

So I took down a thief.

The press is going nuts.

Some are really excited that I'm back because crime has really gone up. Most of them are yelling at me for being gone. They're all irritated that I have hidden.

I've been catching up on news these past months. There are a surprising amount of conspiracy theories on my disappearance. Some blame aliens while others say I'm a coward for giving up after Black Adam. There have been a lot of stories.

I couldn't make myself look at all of them. It just opened up old wounds I guess.

The guy I took down today was an easy start though.

I told Uncle I was going out for a walk. He was happy I think. He was glad I was finally getting out of the house and going someplace. He asked if I would be willing to go get some groceries so I said yes.

He gave me a list and I just walked off.

So I walked through town. I was making sure I was going past all of the alleyways and dark places so I could easily spot trouble. Nothing happened though. It was just a normal walk.

When I arrived at the store I started gathering the food on the list but then there were some gunshots.

I panicked because a memory flashed of you dying, Wiz. It was you exploding with the light stuff.

It went away, but I was afraid. I saw people running and screaming. Some people got shot. I ran into the bathroom and hid.

Wiz, I know I should have immediately gone into 'Marvel Mode,' but I couldn't make myself do it.

But while I was cowering in the bathroom I realized that you wouldn't want me to be afraid and that you would probably yell at me for my lack of training still.

So I changed.

I burst through the wall and threw some punches.

And that was that.

No regrets.

Although, I wish you told me more about my powers so I could maybe do more things. I'm just awkwardly kicking and punching right now.

I hope you'd be proud Wiz.

-Billy
