Weeks had passed, Abby was now in her 2nd trimester. And it had been a month since the wedding, Abby was all healed and she was living in Kyle's small flat in the centre of town, and their dad had been no where to be seen since the wedding.
Abby hadn't thought about Alex in ages, she hated him and that was all she cared about, and she had promised her baby would never meet him.
Kyle had realised that it was now the day before Alex's court day, this was where he would be charged and sentenced for all of his treacherous crimes. Kyle was preparing for what he would have to say when he was asked to speak against Alex in court. Kyle knew that Abby was asked to appear as well, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her.
The next day
The court day has arrived, Kyle was nervous but ready, and Abby was none the wiser. Kyle was in his brand new suit, and was in his best cufflinks, and he was prepared to sneak out without Abby noticing. Just as he was about to leave the apartment, he saw Abby in her Sunday best, he asked why she was wearing her nicest dress, and she replied with, "I'm not stupid, I'm going to testify in court too!"
Kyle knew there was nothing he could say to change her mind, so he just walked out towards the car with his sister by his side.
As the pair arrived in court, they were waiting for guilty Alex to walk through the double doors that led to the stand. But he didn't show, the magistrate began talking to his peers, then he spoke loudly in a posh voice with a tint of fear in his voice, he said, " I regret to inform you, but Alex will not be appearing in court today, due to the fact that he has escaped from the transport vehicle...!"
The sirens began blaring and a voice began talking over the tannoy, reporting that the courthouse was on lockdown until Alex was taken back into police custody, Everyone began to panic, but Abby's heart broke, Alex was on the loose...
