Chapter 31

Gracie was also woken up by all of the taking coming from the kitchen. She went in to see what all of the fuss was about. An she was in no way prepare for what she was about to hear. The first thing she saw was her mother sat at the kitchen table. She ran over to her and gave her the biggest hug in the history of hugs. Gracie had everything she had ever wanted, for her mum and her dad to be together in the same room once again.

Yes, it was Lauren. Lauren was the woman at the door. It had turned out that no one had died in that car accident off of the cliff. And Evie had no idea that she hadn't killed Lauren that day at the cliff and that the drug never worked, she faked being asleep and had a counter plan of her own that day.

Lauren sat down with Kyle, Abby and Gracie. She told them about how she had survived the plummet into the water and about how she had been since then.

It had turned out that Lauren was the most perfect person to have walked through that door. That was because she had been spying on Evie for the past few weeks since the accident. And that was why she had dyed her hair, so that she couldn't be spotted.

She also told them about how she had met the corrupt cop, and that she had turned him in to the real police after he tried to make Abby believe Alex was alive. Everyone knew Alex was dead. For now, but that's nothing to worry about, not yet.

She began telling Abby and Kyle everything she knew about Evie and then Gracie interrupted them when she got up and went to bed. Lauren told Kyle and Abby that she knew where Noah was, and that he was trapped in Evie's apartment but he was safe, and that's all that mattered to Abby.

Lauren tried to persuade them to go to the police with all of the new information, but Kyle wanted to take Evie down for good, and Abby wanted her baby home in her arms, and soon...
