"Hey Jae, your manager is on leave for a few months. We're replacing him for the time being." Those words made Jae frown. She had been called in by PD-nim so that he could inform her about the change for the next few months. Jae loved her personal manager and was upset when she heard that there was going to be someone else in his place.

Two Weeks Later

It was the filming day for Save Me. Jae wasn't actually supposed to be there because she had sprained her forearm a week ago and it hadn't fully healed yet, leaving it prone to further injury. However, her new manager had decided that she would be perfectly fine and told everyone that he had "full confidence in her ability to work through pain". She did have a high pain tolerance, but usually the shoot would've been postponed until Jae could heal and come back in full health.

As a part of the routine, Jae had a difficult part where everyone moved back and she did a series of flips, one of them one-handed. It just so happened that the flips were to be done on the hand that she had injured. The worst part was that the entire MV was supposed to be filmed as a one shot, meaning the slightest mess up would make everyone start from the beginning. Jae didn't want to be a burden to the boys, so she hoped for the best as they arrived at the filming site.

Jae's outfit was simple and coordinated with the other boys. It also covered the brace she had on her arm. Her outfit consisted of black ripped jeans, a gray long sleeved shirt, a silver dog tag, a black dad hat, and white high tops. She put her clothes on and was leaving the dressing room when her new manager grabbed her arm harshly, pulling her back.

"Don't you dare mess anything up." he said.

"Ok. I will do my best." Jae replied, bowing respectfully. He suddenly pushed Jae back by her shoulders into the wall behind them and slapped her. Jae's right cheek burned from the stinging pain.

"That's just a taste of what might happen if you screw this up." He walked away with those words as Jae gathered herself and headed out to film.

A Little While Later

"Cut!" the director called for the eighth time. "Jae, you look like you need a moment. Everyone take a breather. We'll get back to filming in five." Jae had landed wrong on her flip and stumbled a bit, making everyone stop. She felt bad for doing this so she went to where the boys were gathered, drinking water.

"I'm sorry oppa." she said as she bowed to all of them.

"Yah, JaeJae what are you apologizing for?" Namjoon asked.

"I keep messing up. You all look tired and it's my fault we have to do so many takes. Sorry." she explained, a note of disappointment clear in her tone.

"Aw, Jae it wasn't even your fault for the first few." Jimin assured her. "How's your arm doing?"

"It's fine. I'm going to practice my flip sequence once or twice before we film again." She abruptly headed over to an empty spot and started off running before splaying her hands out and flipping with both hands, then transitioning to one hand, and ending with a backflip with which she fell to her knees like the boys would be behind her. Jae went over it a few times and then stretched her hand out a little, testing the muscles for signs of further strain.

"Ok, time to film again." the director called everyone. They got to the flip part and she got through everything until the one handed section. It felt like something in her arm had split. The pain was too intense as she crumpled without finishing the flip. Jae let out a cry of pain and cradled her arm, biting her lip to keep from letting out any more sounds.

"Jae!" the boys rushed over and Jin grabbed her arm. She whimpered as he peeled the brace off and slowly pressed over certain points to see what might have happened.

"Ok guys, we'll postpone the filming. There's rain coming soon anyway. Jae-ah, I hope your arm gets better." the director said to everyone.

Everyone headed back to the dressing rooms to change and go back home. It was there that Jae was met with the angry face of her new manager.

"What was that? I told you not to mess up. What do you think you're doing?" he shouted as she hung her head in shame.

"Bu-" she attempted to speak out and explain that her arm was in major pain already.

"No, shut up. You deserve this." he said before lifting his arm and swinging full force towards her ribs. She didn't see it fast enough and fell. It was just then that Yoongi was coming to get her and make sure she was ok. He turned the corner and saw what was happening.

Jae had started crying but got up quickly, deciding to defend herself using her martial arts experience. She attempted to not inflict any wounds upon the manager because no matter what she didn't really want anyone to get hurt.

Yoongi started yelling for the other boys and they quickly rushed to see Jae blocking the manager's harsh punches and kicks. Jungkook jumped into action and helped Jae out as Jae finally crumpled and sat down against the wall, crying. Jin came over quickly and lifted her into his arms, whispering to her.

"Jae-ah, shhh. It's fine. We'll get this taken care of. Princess, don't cry. My little girl doesn't cry, right?" he said. The boys had finally gotten security to take the manager away and headed towards their maknae.

"What happened Jae?" Namjoon asked, concerned for her well-being. She finally explained that the new manager had been hurting her and threatening her the entire time he was with them. It was not only physically painful but it had also made old memories of her parents surface. The boys headed home and made calls to Bang-PD, fixing the issue and taking care of their maknae.

Eventually, everything died down and the company decided to just wait for Jae's old manager to come back instead of assigning her a new one. The problem was resolved and Jae was safe in the arms of her fellow members.
