after getting their bags, the party walked to the parking lot together.
daniel and will were holding hands. max noticed it and smirked as she met will's eyes.
her face fell as she looked at the ground and wished she could hold her boyfriend's hand too.
"crap! i totally forgot, max, i can't take you home today.
i promised hop me and dustin would help him with the phone records at the station," jane said as she approached her car.
"oh okay. it's no prob," max replied with a smile. jane apologized again and then drove away.
mike waved at the boys as they drove away before turning to max. "need a ride?" he asked with a smirk.
"shut up," she said and she grabbed his keys out of his hand.
"hey!" he exclaimed as he ran after her.
she beat him to his car and hopped into the driver seat. she quickly locked the doors and turned up the radio.
"c'mon! let me in!" he yelled as he banged on the window.
she scrunched her face in confusion and shrugged. "what'd you say? sorry, i can't hear you. it's kinda loud."
"max!" he yelled again.
she rolled down the window. "sorry, do i know you?"
"i'm your boyfriend," mike replied before kissing her.
