Now, when I killed those two things, I know it was pure luck... but when I killed three more in a group without the last one trying to kill me, I knew something was up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled I'm not dead yet but it's been about ten minutes of me looking at this thing and it's still not moving. Well, except for when I move, it'll move in the same direction, like it's going to follow me. I could just kill it, but I'm going to ask it questions and see if it speaks.

I know it sounds like a stupid move and I should kill it, and I will, just after I attempt to get some questions.

I never said I was a genius.

From my observations they seem... dumb, so I don't know how many answers I can get.

"What are you?"

Um... okay, didn't get an answer but I'll try again.

"Where are you from? Why are you here?" Still no answer, not even a reaction.

Okay then, I guess I'm not getting answers so I'm just gonna kill it.

I should probably get back in the house to take a shower, my hair and clothes are all covered in these things' blood and brains and stuff.

As I am about to stab it in the head I hear a sound come from the direction Cameron ran. Both our heads snap in that direction, it's Cameron and Jack they're okay. I'm glad they're fine and came back, it would've taken me awhile to try and find them if they went far.

The thing next to me starts in their direction. I stand in front of it trying to stop it, but it pauses in front of me and gives me a look. A look? It can see me all of a sudden, or what, at this point I'm just about to kill it.

It tries to step to the side and I hear the sound about to begin, and I feel strange. I look at it and move back in its way, why isn't it attacking me when I pose an obvious threat and it just looked at me.

I point the knife at its head, and then it stops. One of its tentacles gently grabs the knife and pushes it to the side, then I feel something touch my head. Looking over I see it put its hand on my head, I should have killed it earlier.

It stares me in the eyes and then I see flashes of images.

I can see a different planet, filled with beings too far to make out their features. I see certain beings being put into lines, an army. They don't speak to communicate, this breed doesn't have mouths so they can't, it's like a mutual understanding of actions between them from what he's showing me. I know what they are, why they are here, and this dude's gender, apparently it's important to him.

They don't have a name for their specific breed, they don't care to create one because they mix with so many other species it's almost irrelevant to try and figure out exactly what species they came from. They seem like shape shifters. They procreate from the strongest of a species they believe is dying, to make them stronger.

There are factions, classes on their planet, he's like the lowest. Why is he showing me this?

The one in front of me, is a hunter in human terms. They look the same because they are from the same breed, sort of like siblings. Others from their planet have their own features and ways, but the hunters communicate solely on action, and whatever he just did to me. When I came to the realization I could feel him in my mind moving around, invading my privacy, I stepped back.

"What the fuck?"

Now I know what I had asked, and way more, and now we can understand what the other is thinking without saying it. Well that's just great. I never wanted to be connected to some weird alien that I was planning on killing.
