I told Jungkook I was going to go just sit down in the cafe without ordering food, I didn't really want to be around him. I did like him, and I still like him and maybe love is blind but I couldn't stay angry about what he just did. Lost in my thoughts I didn't realize Jimin coming and sitting at my table.
"You okay?" He questioned dropping to a frown upon seeing how down I was. I just shrugged my shoulders, I didn't want to lie there was no point but I didn't want him to be angry. "What happened?" I internally smiled seeing how he immediately picked up that something that had to of happened.
"Jungkook just went a bit weird before," I told him looking at the table.
"What do you mean? What happened?" Jimin started to get more worked up.
I shrugged again, "He wanted to have sex but I said no obviously," I confessed. After a few seconds of no talking, I looked up.
"I'm gonna kill him," we both knew he wasn't serious but Jimin was clearly upset and pissed off.
"Don't stress we're all good now," I tried to relax him.
"I don't care that's so screwed up-"
"Jimin it's fine seriously," he didn't get a chance to speak again until Jungkook made his way to our table with his food. Once he sat down Jimin just continued his death stare, trying to bite back insults I knew he was dying to throw.
"Everything okay?" Jungkook questioned noticing the silence.
I nodded with a smile, "Yeah kook," I answered. He smiled back before starting to eat his food.
"Hey," he gestured towards Jimin while swallowing his food. "Do you still talk to Namjoon?"
I froze for a second, the way he asked that question implied they had known each other in the past. But they didn't, Jimin never mentioned anything of Jungkook and Jungkook never mentioned Jimin. I watched as Jimin furrowed his eyebrows at the question and tilt his head to Jungkook as an implied 'shut up'. The younger one shrugged his shoulders in defense and still waited for an answer.
Did these two actually know each other?
"Yeah, I do," Jimin coldly replied still keeping his angry expression.
I decided to speak my thoughts, noticing this interaction was too strange, "Do you two know each other?" Both of their heads snapped to me and Jimin's panicked expression was quite clear.
"Not really, just seen each other at parties," Jungkook replied still eating his food.
"What's this about Namjoon then?" I questioned.
"He just hosted one of the parties we both went to once, that's all," Jimin explained casually as if some weird interaction didn't just happen.
"Speaking of parties," Jungkook interrupted whipping his hands on his pants, "Hoseok's party is soon and he wanted me to invite you two," he told us kindly.
"Taehyung's not going," Jimin told him sternly.
"Why not?" Jungkook and I said simultaneously
"I don't want you in that environment," Jimin only told me.
"He can decide for himself," Jungkook spoke up.
"That's beside the point, those types of parties aren't for him," Jimin explained.
"You're not his parent," the younger protested.
"I probably know him better than his parents."
"Doesn't mean he can't make decisions for himself, he's 17!" he started to get louder.
"You don't know him like I do! He is nothing like the people at those parties!" Jimin expressed strongly.
"Maybe it's time for him to grow up! You can't keep pretending he's a baby!"
"I'm trying not to get him in the wrong crowd! What's wrong with that?" Jimin questioned even louder gaining eyes from people around us.
"Okay guys maybe that's enough..." I said quietly but they didn't hear.
"That's not your call to make! He can live his own life!" Jungkook defended.
"Well every time I let him, something goes wrong again!" Jimin shouted back.
What?
"Maybe it's time for you to get out of his life then!" Once Jungkook said that I knew it was enough.
"GUYS!" I grabbed their attention including other people's in the cafe. "Jimin, Jungkook's right, you're not the boss of me-"
"But Tae-"
"No, I want to go to that party. Jungkook you have to accept that Jimin is my best friend always has been and always will be and I trust him with everything," Unlike Jimin, Jungkook accepted what I said. I decided it wasn't good to stay, so I grabbed my bag and stormed out of the cafe walking down the stairs.
"Wait Tae," I heard Jimin calling me once I was outside.
"What?" I asked tiredly.
"I-I'm sorry," he told me as if it was obvious.
"You didn't have to make a scene..." I mumbled.
"Yeah I know, I just got defensive, especially after hearing what he did," he rubbed the back of his neck as he spoke.
"Just drop it okay?" I asked kindly to which he nodded. "I wanna go to the party."
Jimin sighed deeply, "I really don't want you to but, if you really want to," he shrugged his shoulders. I didn't say anything, instead, I brought him into a big hug, he immediately hugged back and my mood switched to happy again. "Let's go do something," he told me leaving the hug.
"What do you wanna do?" I asked curiously.
He looked up thinking, his face now holding a smile of his own, "Let's go on a date!"
My eyes widened comically, "A date?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's nothing serious, just down to the arcade," he bit his lip playfully holding my hands.
"Sure, as long as it isn't serious."
